PokerStars New Year Series

PokerStars is celebrating Christmas and welcoming in 2023 with a massive tournament festival it calls the New Year Series. Running from December 25 through January 17, the PokerStars New Year Series boasts of combined guarantees tipping the scales at $40 million! What a way to say goodbye to 2022 and get 2023 off to the best possible start.

December 25 is Christmas Day for a large percentage of PokerStars’ customers. If you celebrate Christmas, you may want to go easy on the eggnog and other alcoholic beverages because you’ll want your wits about you. Buy-ins range from $5.50 to $1,050 on the opening day, with the $125,000 guaranteed Big $109 Christmas Edition being the highlight of Day 1.

All three of the New Year Special events are two-day affairs. Day 1 concludes 7hr 55 minutes after the tournaments start at 5:30 p.m. GMT on January 1, with play resuming at 5:30 p.m. GMT on January 2, 2023.

$3.75 Million Worth of New Year Series No-Limit Hold’em Main Event Guarantees

No PokerStars tournament festival worth its salt would be complete without at least one Main Event. The New Year Series has three, a trio of exciting No-Limit Hold’em Main Events with combined guarantees worth a cool $3.75 million! The New Year Series Main Events come with buy-ins of $109, $1,050, and $5,200, and guarantees of $1 million, $1.25 million, and $1.5 million, respectively.
