The VENOM tournament, hosted by ACR Poker and its partners on the Winning Poker Network, promises to be one of the premier online poker events of the year. With $12.5 million in guaranteed prizes and an expected field of more than 5,000 participants, it’s not an event you want to miss. It does cost $2,650 to enter, but there are ways of earning your seat for much less. Still, the last chances to win your ticket are coming up soon, so you don’t want to wait too long if you have not yet secured your entry.

VENOM Schedule

The VENOM is set to begin Sunday, April 14, and it’s already April 9, so you have just a few scant days left to obtain a seat before the tournament begins. However, there are multiple starting days, so all hope is not lost if you fail to win a ticket by April 14.

Should you miss the April 14 cutoff, you still can attempt to get in on several of the other Day 1s available:

• Day 1B: Thursday, April 18
• Day 1C on Sunday, April 21
• Day 1D on Thursday, April 25
• Day 1E on Sunday, April 28

How Can I Win a $2,650 VENOM Ticket?

Despite the lateness of the hour, metaphorically speaking, there still remain numerous avenues for you to get into the VENOM excitement. They include:

1. The Beast and Sit & Crush Satellites

Although this means of scoring a VENOM seat is almost closed, there are still two satellites remaining for those who place highly on The Beast (cash games) and Sit & Crush (SNGs) weekly leaderboards. 40 seats will be distributed on Sunday, April 14 with another 50 being given away on Sunday, April 21. Both tournaments will begin at 6:05 p.m. ET.

Even if you don’t make it to one of the top leaderboard positions, you can still join in the fun. Each satellite has a buyin of $95, which you can pay to enter irrespective of your leaderboard position.

2. VenomFever Madness

There’s a single multi-flight satellite remaining for the Venom. It costs $16.50 to register for, but you have your choice of dates and times to pick from. You see, there are multiple flights running from Sunday, April 14 to Saturday, April 27. They take place every two hours from 8:05 a.m. to 10:05 p.m. except on April 27 when there are only two flights: one at 6:05 a.m. and another at 8:05 a.m.

Should you make it through the first day of play, you’ll reconvene with the other day 1 survivors to play in Day 2 on Saturday, April 27 at 2:05 p.m. ET. The top 15 finishers will receive coveted $2,650 VENOM entries.

3. MEGA Satellites

VENOM MEGA satellites are scheduled to occur over the next three weekends with two apiece taking place every Saturday and Sunday. Buyins are $55, $109, $290, and $630. The $55 tournaments will hand out 10 seats apiece while the $109-priced MTTs will reward the top 20 winners with seats. The $290 tourneys are good for 50 or 60 tickets whereas as the highest-buyin $630 MEGAs will each distribute 60 seats.

Even if you can’t afford the $55 – $630 needed to participate, you can win your way to the MEGA of your choice and then, hopefully, go on to obtain your $2,650 VENOM entry. There are three steps to take to earn your MEGA buyin as follows:

• Freeroll to $0.55 to $5.50 to $55 MEGA
• Freeroll to $1.10 to $11 to $109 MEGA
• Freeroll to $2.50 to $33 to $290 MEGA
• Freeroll to $6.60 to $66 to $630 MEGA

Added all together, there yet remain 430 VENOM seats waiting to be awarded through these MEGA qualifiers.

4. Direct Satellites

Through direct satellites to the VENOM, you can secure your $2,650 buyin – without having to worry about multiple stages of qualifiers or other conditional contingencies. There are more than 475 tickets up for grabs in these satellites. They’re priced between $33 and $290 and pay out between 1 and 10 seats each.

5. Other Ways of Qualifying

Though we have outlined above the main ways of winning a VENOM seat for less than the sticker price, there are a few other options available.

You can enter four-player All-in or Fold steps and progress through 6 steps to win your way to the VENOM. Alternately, there are normal sit-n-go steps that feature 8-max play and four total levels of steps. Or you can attempt to place within the top 10 of the now-running Turbo Boost Series leaderboard to obtain free entry into Day 1A of the VENOM.
