Arsenal beat Southampton 3-0 which included a goal from striker Alexandre Lacazette, who was given a rare start after captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was dropped due to a “disciplinary breach.”
Arsenal started poorly as defender Gabriel was booked inside four minutes and Southampton pressed well, causing the home side all kinds of problems.
But, against the run of play, Bukayo Saka picked up the ball down the right after a sweeping move from the other end of the pitch and his run eventually found Lacazette in the box, who bent the ball into the corner.
Shortly after, Kieran Tierney miscued a cross but got the chance to have another go and found Martin Odegaard in the box, who headed his third goal in three consecutive games for the club.
Arsenal kept possession in the second half as Gabriel netted in the 62nd minute to make the game safe.
