Wolves vs Brentford Prediction

Brentford suffered its first defeat as an EPL team last weekend while Wolves picked up its first win.

However, it is a surprise to see the oddsmakers at DraftKings making Wolves a wide favorite for the Saturday Premier League Matchday 5 early kick-off game – which offers value in getting behind Brentford.

There had been three straight defeats for Wolves before it finally came up with a 2-0 win at Watford last weekend.

Meanwhile, newly-promoted Brentford’s early campaign has understandably slipped following the euphoria of its opening-round 2-0 victory against Arsenal.

There have subsequently been two draws and a setback at home against Brighton & Hove Albion last Saturday.

Still, there is a lot of attraction in the price of +390 for a Brentford win at Molineux.

Wolves, meanwhile, is priced somewhat puzzlingly at -115 with the draw at +260, which is also attractive. The kick-off is at 7:30 am ET.

Brentford’s energetic, high-pressing football has translated well to the EPL.

Certainly, Wolves have looked promising under new coach Bruno Lage’s counter-attacking system.

However, it was illusory as the team failed to score in its first three matches; going down by 1-0 against Leicester City, Tottenham and Manchester United.

Undoubtedly, those were tough opening fixtures.

But even then it required an own goal from Watford’s Francisco Sierralta to hand Wolves its first goal. Hwang Hee-Chan got the second.

Brentford’s energetic, high-pressing football has translated well to the EPL under coach Thomas Frank.

After the win against Arsenal, there was a 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace and a 1-1 draw at Aston Villa.

Additionally, it required a 90th-minute goal from Brighton’s Leandro Trossard to end Brentford’s unbeaten spell.

These teams last met in the Championship in January 2018 when Wolves was a 3-0 winner at home.

In conclusion this time, however, the odds favor taking a chance on the visitors.

Pick: Brentford win (+390)

Aston Villa vs Everton Prediction

New Everton boss Rafael Benitez has gone a long way towards winning over his new club’s fans after an impressive unbeaten start.

The 3-1 home win against Burnley last Monday put Everton in fourth place after three wins and one draw.

Certainly, it was a controversial move to appoint former Liverpool chief Benitez at Goodison Park.

Furthermore, it is surprising to see his side rated as a +200 outsider for the trip to Aston Villa on , which has won only once so far and is in 12th place.

With kick-off at 12:30 pm ET on Saturday, Villa is rated at +140 with the draw at an attractive +240.

Obviously, it is a blow that Everton will be without injured leading scorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has three goals.

New Villa striker Danny Ings has scored twice so far.

However, new signing Demarai Gray has also struck three times.

Villa was well beaten by 3-0 at Chelsea last weekend. Its only win was a 2-0 success against struggling Newcastle following a 3-2 defeat at Watford on the opening day.

There has also been a 1-1 draw at home against Brentford. And certainly, the team is re-adjusting after the departure of play-maker Jack Grealish for Manchester City.

New Villa striker Danny Ings has, however, scored twice so far.

But to sum up here, the odds favor taking a chance on Everton.

Pick: Everton to win (+200)

West Ham Utd vs Manchester Utd Prediction

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored three times in two games since his high-profile return to Manchester United.

Therefore, it is eye-catching to see the attractive price of +275 for him to be the first goalscorer in front of 60,000 at the London Stadium at 9:00 am ET on Sunday in Premier League Matchday 5.

West Ham, meanwhile, has made an excellent start with two wins and two draws placing it eighth.

However, despite the team’s impressive 2-0 win at Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League on Thursday, the side may be tired after the trip.

Certainly, the Hammers’ looked weary in their first game back after the international break – a 0-0 draw at Southampton.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s mood looks ravenous and he loves to score on big occasions like this one.

United currently leads the table after three wins and a draw. But it suffered a shock 2-1 defeat at Young Boys of Berne in the UCL on Tuesday.

That, however, has handed the players two days extra recovery than the West Ham squad.

West Ham coach David Moyes may opt to keep it tight because leading scorer Michail Antonio is suspended.

But, to sum, up, Ronaldo’s mood looks ravenous and he loves to score on big occasions like this one.

Pick: Cristiano Ronaldo +275 (First Goalscorer)
