Nick Shiambouros was on the mark yesterday when Chocolate Cookie won at 4.3 BSP at Saratoga. Nick returns to the Spa with two selections from the final day of this great meeting…
Fort Worth to rule
Forth Work should make his presence felt in this $40k State bred optional claimer on the main track.
This well related son of City Zip was most impressive when winning a State bred allowance race over this course last month. He swept to the lead in the straight, and was geared down in the closing stages to score comfortably. This was his first outing in 14 months and this lightly raced colt should have a lot more to offer. His work tab is stellar and put in a super piece of work over the course a week ago. Trainer Todd Pletcher continues to fire in the winners and this likeable colt should add to his tally. I have backed him at his current price of [3.6] on the exchange.
Time to Reinvest
Reinvestment Risk should go close in this mouthwatering Grade 1 on the main track.
This expensive Upstart purchase thrashed a quality field of maidens over this course last month. He took the lead at the entrance to the straight and skipped clear to win with any amount in hand.
This was one of the best maiden two-year-old performances of the season in my opinion. Trainer Chad Brown holds him in high regard, and I can see why. I think he is open to significant improvement and is fairly priced at [2.94] on the exchange.
