The biggest tournament of the 888poker Sale Week promotion has crowned its worthy champion, and Brazil’s “Chipss182” is the player who took it down. The $100,000 guaranteed Mystery Bounty Main Event usually commands a $109 buy-in, but 888poker players could get in on the action for only $55 during Sale Week on Sunday.
Some 1,865 players took full advantage of the half-price buy-in. That monster-sized crowd was whittled to the final table of eight on the first of two days, with those eight finalists returning to the action on Monday evening under the watchful eyes of the 888poker Twitch stream team.
The United Kingdom’s “PeakyCollins” sat down at the final table with the chip lead in tow. “PeakyCollins” found themselves juggling this final table with playing the $109 Big Shot 215, which they ultimately took down for $2,276.
$100,000 Sale Week Mystery Bounty Main Event Final Table Chip Counts
| Rank | Player | Country | Bounties | Chip Count | Big Blinds |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | PeakyCollins | United Kingdom | $1,622 | 7,284,040 | 104 |
| 2 | Chipss182 | Brazil | $403 | 5,536,767 | 79 |
| 3 | Ralleh10 | Denmark | $2,261 | 4,416,477 | 63 |
| 4 | POTCHECKER99 | Germany | $161 | 2,916,593 | 42 |
| 5 | nlfreddie | United Kingdom | $282 | 2,322,341 | 33 |
| 6 | InfectionTom | Germany | $382 | 2,210,278 | 32 |
| 7 | r4ndomr4gs | Sweden | $301 | 2,127,746 | 30 |
| 8 | KennyG2134 | Jersey | $40 | 1,160,758 | 17 |
Jersey’s “KennyG2134” was the final table’s first casualty. Ten minutes into the action, “KennyG2134” open-shoved with ace-jack from under the gun for 16 big blinds. Two players folded before “r4ndomr4gs” looked down at ace-king and re-shoved to isolate the all-in player. Everyone else folded. “r4ndomr4gs” paired their king on the flop, improved to two pair on the turn, and further improved to a full house on the river.
“POTCHECKER99” busted in seventh after allowing their stack to dwindle to around five big blinds. They eventually found themselves all-in with six-five of clubs on a six-ace-five flop against tge eight-seven of clubs in “r4ndomr4gs”‘ hand. The at-risk player’s two-pair remained best on the turn, but a nine on the river gifted “r4ndomr4gs” a straight.
The final six became five after the untimely demise of “InfectionTom.” Down to 12.5 big blinds, “InfectionTom” jammed all-in, their hopes pinned to ace-ten. “Ralleh10” flat-called in the small blind and turned over the dominating ace-king once the big blind folded. Neither player improved; the ace kicker of “Ralleh10” played, and “InfectionTom” was done and dusted.

Fifth place was decided around the hour mark when “nlfreddie” of the United Kingdom fell by the wayside. The British grinder open-shoved with ten-nine of clubs for 9.5 big blinds, and found a caller in the shape of “PeakyCollins” in the big blind, who held ace-nine. An ace on the flop left the all-in player drawing thin, though a second club on the turn gave them outs to a flush. The river was a black three, but the wrong suit for “nlfreddie,” and they headed for the exits.
Denmark’s “Ralleh10” busted in fourth despite being second in chips with more than 50 big blinds at the start of four-handed play. They first lost a chunk of their stack with seven-six of hearts against nine-eight of hearts when both players turned a flush. The Dane never really recovered from that. Their final action in the Mystery Bounty Main Event was to min-raise on the button with pocket fours and then four-bet jam for 17.6 big blinds after “PeakyCollins” three-bet in the big blind. “PeakyCollins” called with ace-queen of spades, flopped a queen, turned an ace, and hit a flush on the river.
The $100,000 guaranteed tournament progressed to the heads-up stage after a three-handed battle that spanned almost an hour. Swedish star “r4ndomr4gs” was by far the shortest of the three stacks for the latter part of three-handed play, but they used their vast experience to remain in contention. Unfortunately, Lady Luck had other plans for them. “r4ndomr4gs” called all-in for 7.5 big blinds with ace-deuce from the big blind after “PeakyCollins” open-jammed with the computer hand, queen-seven. A queen and a seven on the flop were not what the Swede wanted to see; they were drawing dead on the turn.
Less than two big blinds separated the final two players at the start of the heads-up battle. A few hands into the clash, both players agreed to discuss the possibility of a deal – remember that this tournament ordinarily costs $109 to enter, not $55, so the remaining prizes were much larger in comparison. The discussion ended with a deal in place, one that left a little bit up top to play for, plus the final mystery bounty envelopes.
“Chipss182” was relentless once they got their nose in front. They held a 64 to 14 big blind advantage at the start of the final hand. That hand saw “PeakyCollins” limp with queen-ten and then call when “Chipss182” raised with ace-king. “Chipss182” led on the jack-seven-five flop before check-calling a small bet on the eight on the turn. “Chipss182” checked again on the ace river before instantly calling the half-pot shove from “PeakyCollins.” With that, the Sale Week edition of the $100,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event had its champion.
