Everygame’s New Poker Missions: complete tasks, get Rewards

Everygame Poker added a new Poker Missions feature to its software on the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024. This upgrade also deployed to sister site Juicy Stakes at around the same time.

Info About Missions

These Missions are small challenges that a player can complete in order to receive a stated reward. These rewards include tournament tickets, cash, entries to lottery-style Fast Fortune contests, gold chips rewards currency, and no deposit bonuses.

In order to access the Missions, look for a rocket near the top-right of the poker lobby. Below the rocket is a number indicating how many Missions are currently available.

To the left are descriptions of each Mission, and the reward you can win by completing it is shown on the right. Some Missions are time-sensitive, and you’ll see a timer counting down the hours and minutes until expiration.

Unfortunately, the rewards listed are vague – at least for the particular Missions that we were initially presented with. Three of them merely had the image of a tournament ticket with the number “1” below it, indicating a single tourney ticket but without specifying which tournament or the value of the ticket.

Our Experiences With Missions

We elected to try to complete a couple of our Missions before they expired. There’s no need to opt-in or formally start any Mission; your progress is automatically tracked without the need for any manual intervention.

Each Mission we successfully met the requirements for was moved to a separate “Completed” section of the Missions window. We still weren’t enlightened at all as to which tournament tickets we won.

However, a quick look at the lobby revealed that we now had two tickets, and clicking on the ticket manager showed that we could enter any of our choice of upcoming all-in Missions tourneys with prize pools between $300 and $1,000. Given the number of players already registered, we concluded that each ticket was worth no more than about $3 or $4.

Our completed Missions were not immediately replaced by new ones. Instead, when the timer ran out for all of them, we were presented with a new set of Missions, replacing both the ones we had completed as well as the ones we ignored..

Money for Nothing, Tix for Free?

Despite the modest value of the Mission rewards, they seem to be a form of free value granted by Everygame to its customers without any drawbacks. However, a closer look at the site’s promotional offerings tells a different tale.

It seems that the Loyalty Levels program, which had been a fixture of the site even when it was still called “Intertops,” has been discontinued. So the Missions don’t represent a new form of additional extra value but rather a repurposing of a previous reward system.

Still, the Loyalty Levels were difficult to understand and delivered value at much lengthier intervals than the Missions seem to. Indeed, it’s probable that many casual users never saw a Loyalty Levels payout at all.

The Missions are a more accessible and entertaining form of rewards, which fit into the gamification trend that has been spreading across the internet poker industry over the past decade. We could see these Missions gaining popularity especially with recreational players, leading to a healthier poker ecosystem for Everygame and the rest of the Horizon Poker Network.
