The Goalscorer Bet: Mo Salah – Arsenal (H)
Mo Salah has become an absolute mainstay of this section of the column, but it’s hard to argue against his goal-scoring prowess this season. Nobody else comes close to his ten goals in eleven games.
We’ve seen a slight scoring regression in recent weeks, with just an assist against his most recent opponents Brighton and West Ham. Hopefully Salah can find his scoring boots again this weekend.
Opponents Arsenal have clean sheets in consecutive games, but have conceded to Chelsea and Manchester City earlier in the campaign. Salah has seven goals in eight previous Premier League meetings for Liverpool against the Gunners.
Salah is available to back at 16/5 to score two or more goals against Arsenal this weekend.
The Assist Pick: Bruno Fernandes – Watford (A)
It’s been a quiet few weeks for fantasy managers considering Manchester United assets for their squads, but that’s about to change. Favourable fixtures are coming, including Watford this weekend.
Despite a general dip in form, Bruno Fernandes remains top for key passes over the last four games with 14, picking up two assists in that period. He remains the key provider in this side.
Fernandes is available to back at 6/4 to assist against Watford on Saturday.
The Penalty Bet: Harry Kane – Leeds United (H)
There’s high hope of a Spurs resurgence under new manager Antonio Conte, with Harry Kane spearheading the attack. He’s had a good international break, scoring seven goals on England duty.
His league form has been poor following a summer filled with speculation, but now could be the time he settles into the season and adds to the solitary goal he scored against Newcastle United in Gameweek 8.
Kane is on penalties for Spurs which always provide an additional source of fantasy points during the season. Spurs have won one penalty this season, with Leeds United conceding one.
You can bet on Spurs to score a penalty against Leeds at odds of 7/2.
The Clean Sheet Bet: Joao Cancelo – Everton (H)
Joao Cancelo is the only fantasy player to have chalked up seven clean sheets this season, with Manchester City amassing an excellent record so far in this campaign. He’s missed just 13 minutes of action over 11 games.
His attacking threat is clear to see, with four assists already this season, including two last time out. There’s promise of goals too, having registered 16 shots in his last four games, putting him joint top alongside Mo Salah.
Man City are available to back at 10/11 to to win to nil against Everton this weekend.
The Odds-Against Goalscorer Bet: Josh King – Manchester United (H)
Watford have a tough test this weekend against Manchester United, but the fixture may not be as tough as it appears on paper. The Red Devils have conceded 11 goals in their last four games and are missing Raphael Varane.
Josh King has had an impressive first part of the season, including scoring a hat-trick against Everton in Gameweek 9. He’s had 11 shots in his last four games, registering five big chances.
Back Josh King to score against Manchester United at 3/1 in Gameweek 12.
