“…a quick-fire double is on the cards…”
Timeform on Geelo Mini Bee
The first of three evening bets on Sheffield’s RPGTV card comes in the A5 at 18.51, with COPELAND CAIN (T4) fancied to regain the winning thread dropped in class. A back-to-back winner in July, it’s been a slightly frustrating time for Copeland Cain of late, but he’s been sent off favourite twice to land A4 contests in that time and this ease in grade ought to be just the tonic for Barrie Draper’s charge.
The A3 contest at 19.09 looks something of a match on the clock between Good Material in Trap 3 and GEELO MINI BEE (T4) on his outside, with Carl Perry’s bitch the most persuasive option on recent form. The selection looked good when making all last week and the grader has left her alone in terms of a rise in class. An early lead is a distinct possibility again, and with Good Material not quite at the top of his game since suffering a fall last month, a quick-fire double is on the cards for Geelo Mini Bee.
As a February 2017 bitch, MATA HARI (T2) is clearly into the veteran stage of her career, but three wins post resumption clearly shows she can still mix it with the sprinters in D2/D3 company at Sheffield. The selection did really well to win on her penultimate start given she missed the break slightly and she was far from disgraced in a stronger D2 last week than the 19.58 contest this evening. Because of her profile, she rarely attracts support in the market which makes her an appealing betting proposition.
