Maria Ho won the Celebrity Poker Tour Game Night I event over the March 16-17 weekend inside the PokerGO Studio at ARIA just off the Las Vegas Strip.

The poker professional and commentator topped a talented and multi-faceted field of competitors at the invite-only event. Ho holds more than $4.5 million in career tournaments, and she was awarded $10,000 along with the gold CPT title belt for the victory.

This marked the third time in a row a women has won a CPT event. Princess Love won the previous event in February, and Qiyu “Nemo” Zhou topped the field in the inaugural event in 2023.

Tommy Unold was the runner-up (he was an alternate but made the deep run), and he scored $5,000. NFL star running back Austin Ekeler took third at the final table, and he was followed in fourth place by poker influencer and vlogger Brad Owen. And speaking of poker vloggers, the poker player with the largest following of anyone in the poker industry Alexander “Wolgang” Selbt posted a fifth-place result.

Another trio of influencers rounded out the final three spots, with Trent “BookItWithTrent” Attyah (sixth), Bryce Hall (seventh), and Ethan “Rampage” Yau (eighth).

Even after many of these players busted out of the tournament they stuck around to enjoy the open bar and free spread provided. It made for a fun atmosphere that you can see in the many videos posted on the CPT Twitter/X account page that was fed with content from the experienced social media influencers attending the event.

When it came down to the final three players, it was the former Los Angeles Charger who recently signed with the Washington Commandeers Ekeler who held the chip lead. Ho took him out when they both held top pair, but her kicker played. Ho took a 3:1 chip advantage into the heads-up final against Unold.

Ho never relinquished the lead during the last match, and the final hand saw her pocket threes improve to a set over the Q-9 held by Unold.

Many of the invitees, including Ho, then made their way over to play cash games in the poker room at Resorts World Casino to round out a fun night for all involved.
