15 bracelets will be contested in Rozvadov but it looks like unvaccinated players won’t be able to play after all.

The Vegas World Seroes of Poker has not even concluded but the World Series of Poker Europe has begun today.

Taking place at King’s Casino in Rozvadov between November 19 to December 8, 15 bracelets will be up for grabs. Buy-ins range from €350 to €50,000.

The WSOPE Main Event will take place between December 3-8 with a €10,350 entry fee and a €5 million guarantee. In 2019 Alexandros Kolonais took it down for €1,133,678 defeating a field of 541.

The event offered a glimmer of hope for unvaccinated players as they were offered the chance to play if they passed a rapid antigen test every 24 hours or PCR test every 72 hours. Or they could prove they have recovered from COVID19 in the last 180 days.

That looks unlikely now as, at the time of writing, the Czech Government looked poised to pass laws barring unvaccinated people/people who had recently recovered from COVID from public events. This is a developing story but it looks like the event is off for the unvaccinated.
