Day 33 2026 World Series of Poker was a day in which several smaller fields slotted in around the mass of Mystery Millions players who were playing in two separate Day 1 flights.
However, just one of those smaller fields went all the way down to the last player standing. Taylor Atchison managed to cleared out the last couple of players in Event #69: $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8, earning himself a nice $159,275 first-place prize and an even nicer gold WSOP bracelet, his first.
Elsewhere in the series, Michael Mizrachi continued to run over the $10k PLO field, the $1,000 Mystery Millions cleared 20,000 entries and $20 million in the pot, and the Ladies event reached its final table with Emily Spencer holding a significant lead.
Michael Mizrachi Has Huge Lead In $10k PLO Event
Michael Mizrachi has almost double the next biggest stack in Event #70: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship. After Day 2 came to a close, Mizrachi was able to bag 5,655,000 in chips.
Zurvan Tumboli, his closest competition, bagged just 3,700,000.
That doesn’t mean “the Grinder” has the event all sewn up. There are still 37 players left from the starting field of 836, and pot limit Omaha is a game of big swings. Besides, Mizrachi’s competition is tough with Jesse Lonis (2,985,000) close behind him in third.
The list of other notables who will be challenging Mizrachi on Day 3 includes Martin Zamani (1,530,000), 2013 Main Event champion Ryan Riess (1,380,000), Dan Sepiol (1,045,000), Kristen Foxen (990,000), and Ari Engel (720,000).
Jason Koon, Martin Kabrhel, Phil Hellmuth and Phil Ivey all busted on Day 2 without cashing. However, Daniel Negreanu (83rd), 2009 Main Event champion Joe Cada (59th), and Josh Arieh (39th) all made the money before exiting the tourney.
With $1,350,203 up top from a prize pool of $7,774,800, there’s still everything to play for when the tournament restarts at 1 p.m. local time.

Emily Spencer Is The Chip Captain At The Ladies Event FT
Event #68: $1,000 Ladies No-Limit Hold’em Championship is down to a final table after its third day of action. With six players remaining, Emily Spencer is way out ahead with 10,290,000 in her stack and nearly a third of the chips in play.
She has a commanding lead over Skye Chen (5,450,000) in second and Lisa Teebagy (5,360,000) in third. The other three players at the table are Victoria Ailloud (3,895,000), Aubrey Williams (2,660,000), and Caitlin Comeskey (1,780,000).
These six players are all that is left of a starting field of 1,475 entries, 48 of whom returned at the start of Day 3. During the course of the day, Cherish Andrews (15th – $8,423), Jessica Teusl (9th – $16,666), and Lexy Gavin-Mather (8th – $21,497) were among the notable players eliminated.
Play will resume at 3:30 p.m. local time with four more minutes of 60,000/120,000 play left on the clock. The ante is 120,000, the min-cash is $37,192, and the bracelet winner will walk away with $194,630.
The event will be live-streamed on a 2.5-hour delay, and PokerNews‘s live reporting will follow suit as per the WSOP’s guidelines.

Aubrey Williams Brushes Off Hate Amid Deep Run in WSOP Ladies Championship
Couden In Top Three Of Big Bet Mix Event
Joey Couden was third in Event #71: $2,500 Mixed Big Bet as Day 1 ended.
Couden bagged 365,000, putting him a solid chunk of change behind Julio Belluscio (480,000) in second and Antonio Seremet (528,500) in first.
The big bet mix consists of a rotation of pot limit 5-card draw, 2-7 lowball, Omaha, and Omaha 8, plus a round of no limit Texas hold’em.
After Day 1, 99 players remain from a starting field of 386. They will return tomorrow to play another 10 levels. The money bubble is expected to burst during the day, with the first players starting to win a cut of the $858,850 prize pool.
Some notables who made Day 3, but not the top ten include Robert Mizrachi (196,500), Scott Abrams (195,500), Naoya Kihara (183,500), Brad Owen (60,000), Cary Katz (52,500), Patrick Leonard (35,000), and Chance Kornuth (13,500).

The $1k Mystery Millions Hits 20k Entrants and $20m In The Pot
Day 33 of the WSOP was a tale of two flights for the $1,000 Mystery Millions. Both Day 1e and the turbo Day 1f of Event #63 played out, racking up 6,985 and 4,043 entries, respectively.
That means—now that the dust of late registration has cleared—that the event had a total of 22,811 entries and a prize pool of $20,073,680.
The day’s action also established Sandeep Koralla as the new overall leader of the event with 3,630,000 in chips. He was the chip leader at the end of Day 1e.
Among the other biggest stacks from the day were bracelet winners Prashanth Nataraj (2,055,000), Mitchell Hynam (1,715,000), Scott Eskenazi (600,000), and Georgios Sotiropoulos (560,000). ODB Bonus Player, Christina Hill (555,0000) also bagged a top stack
All 1,236 surviving players from the six Day 1 flights will return for a combined Day 2 at 1:00 p.m. local time.

What to Expect from Day 34 at the 2026 WSOP
Day 34 of the 2026 World Series of Poker is Sunday, June 28. On this day, three new events kick off and two bracelets are expected to be awarded.
One of the biggest events of the day will see all six Day 1 flights of Event #63: $1,000 Mystery Millions No-Limit Hold’em combine for Day 2 of the tournament. The field of more than 1,200 players will get back into the action at 1:00 p.m. local time.
The final table of the Event #68: $1,000 Ladies No-Limit Hold’em Championship will be playing down to a bracelet on the live stream. Play starts at 3:30 p.m. local time and the stream will begin at 6:00 p.m. on a 2.5-hour delay.
Event #70: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship will also be back at 1:00 p.m. for its Day 3. This event has a school of poker sharks circling the ever-smaller field. The Day 3 action will be one to watch.
PokerNews‘s traditional live reporting on Event #71: $2,500 Mixed Big Bet begins at 1:00 p.m. as Day 2 of the tourney kicks off.
There will also be three new events kicking off on Day 33.
These will start with Day 1a of Event #72: $1,000 Mini Main Event. With the same structure as the Main Event but a tenth of the cost, it’s a great chance to get some practice in for the real thing.
This event begins nice and early at 10:00 a.m. and is the first event of the day to get underway.
At midday, this will be followed by the call to shuffle up and deal both Event #73: $5,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em and Event #74: $1,500 8-Game Mixed.
