The PGA Tour makes its last stop before the FedExCup Playoffs this week, teeing off at the Wyndham Championship on Thursday. Last year, Cameron Young blew away the field to claim his first career PGA Tour victory, but his performance was a big outlier in this event’s history. The Wyndham Championship has long been a haven for the most accurate ball strikers, rarely rewarding bombers with top finishes.

In spite of Young’s dominance in 2025, I’ve always been of the belief that Sedgefield Country Club was made to be dominated by accurate players who excel with a wedge in their hands. That’s how I’m approaching my betting card for this week, so keep reading for the 2026 Wyndham Championship odds, plus my predictions and picks to win, below.

Young enters this week as the favorite to hoist the trophy again, followed by Patrick Cantlay, Justin Thomas, Ben Griffin and phenom Jackson Koivun. I’m bypassing the top of the board altogether, and narrowing down my selections based on accuracy metrics and pristine recent form.

2026 Wyndham Championship Predictions and Picks

• Pick: Blades Brown +6000 (1.6¢ at Kalshi)

I’m starting my card with 19-year-old Blades Brown, who’s fresh off another top-end finish on the Korn Ferry Tour this past weekend. Brown has split his time between the KFT and PGA Tour this year, but when he’s teed it up with the big boys, he’s more than held his own. The rookie has placed T-14 or better in four consecutive PGA Tour starts, and owns some of the best ball striking numbers in the field.

Over the last two months, Brown ranks 7th in total strokes gained in the field, 10th in Tee-to-Green play and top-15 in ball striking. Over the same time frame, he ranks in the top-5 in driving accuracy and 3rd in wedge proximity between 50-100 yards. Those last two stats are two of the biggest predictors of success at Sedgefield CC, and it doesn’t hurt that Brown can also roll the rock. He’s 37th in strokes gained putting since the summer began, gaining strokes with the flat stick each of his last four times out.

The winning score at this event usually breaches -20, which should suit Brown just fine. He ranks 14th in birdie or better percentage in the field over the past two months, and first in BOB from the rough.

• Pick: Emiliano Grillo +8800 (1.1¢ at Kalshi)

Another player who suits Sedgefield CC perfectly is Emiliano Grillo. The Argentinian came close last time out finishing 7th at the 3M Open, and like Brown excels in the accuracy, scoring and ball striking departments.

Grillo enters the week ranked third in total strokes gained in the field over the past two months and 11th in driving accuracy. He’s been widely considered one of the best iron players on the planet for quite some time, and he’s been converting beautifully with his putter over his last four tournaments, gaining strokes with the flat stick in each event. That’s helped him to four consecutive top-26 finishes, and the seventh best birdie or better percentage in the field.

• Pick: Ben Kholes +6000 (1.6¢ at Kalshi)

Last, but not least, I have to back the red-hot form of Ben Kholes. The 36-year-old has gone T-3, T-15, 9th in his past three starts, and is the number one ranked player in my model since June 1st.

Kholes ranks 1st in total strokes gained over that time frame, 3rd in ball striking and Tee-to-Green play, and 4th with his irons. He’s 14th in birdie or better percentage, and 14th in wedge proximity from 100-150 yards, as well as 23rd with the putter. His game is trending in the right direction, and after flirting with the lead for the bulk of the 3M Open, he’s ready to claim his inaugural PGA Tour victory.
