888poker

When 888poker rolled out its Summer Sale earlier this year, the poker community flocked to the felt. Close to 2,000 players jumped into the $100,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event at half price, where Canada’s “Brainy14” turned a $55 entry into the title and a $6,949 payday. That score represented a staggering ROI of more than 12,500%, the kind of return that keeps players coming back for these cut-price series.

Now, the fan-favorite promotion is back and it is even bigger. The autumn edition of 888poker Sale Week runs from October 20–27, offering 19 discounted tournaments compared to 16 in the summer. Once again players can take their seats for up to 50% off the regular buy-in with no cuts to the guarantees.

That means double the shots for the same cost and the chance to battle for serious money in Mystery Bounties, PKOs and Big Shot events without stretching your bankroll.

If the Summer Sale proved anything, with all but two tournaments smashing their guarantees and mystery bounty sweats paying out thousands, this October’s Sale Week is shaping up to be another blockbuster.

PokerNews Picks: The Best Value Tournaments

There are plenty of tournaments to choose from during Sale Week, but a few stand out for either their prestige or the size of the savings in dollar terms:

  • $100,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event (Oct 26, 5 p.m.): The headline event of Sale Week. The buy-in is reduced from $109 to $55. This was the tournament that made a champion out of “Brainy14” in the summer, who turned $55 into $6,949 and a five-figure ROI.
  • $1,500 Mystery Bounty 22 (Oct 26, 6 p.m.): A great mid-stakes option, dropping from $22 to $11. With mystery envelopes in play, it only takes one knockout to turn this small entry into something much bigger.
  • The Big Shots: These flagship events carry the biggest absolute discounts. The Big Shot 215 is reduced to $109, the Big Shot 320 comes in at $160, and the high-roller Big Shot 525 is slashed to $265. All keep their strong guarantees, including $30K for the 525, giving regulars and grinders a chance to play marquee events for half the usual price.
  • The $4.40 PKO (Oct 20, 6 p.m.): For those with smaller bankrolls, the PKO that drops from $8.80 to just $4.40 is one of the cheapest ways to experience knockout action during the sale.
