Aaron Donald Return Odds Shift After Formal Tryout With Rams on Wednesday

The latest episode of Aaron Donald’s will-he/won’t-he return drama aired on Wednesday as the three-time Defensive Player of the Year had a formal tryout with the Los Angeles Rams.

At prediction market Kalshi, where market on whether the former Ram would return this season has been open since early June, saw the “Yes” price get a huge boost after news of the tryout broke.

The “Yes” price on Donald playing this season improved from 80¢ (equal to -400 odds) to 90¢ (equal to -900 odds). The “No’ price faded from 21¢ (+376) to just 11¢ (+809).

For sports bettors and fans alike, the market is sending a clear signal: Donald’s return inow seen as a matter of “no longer a matter of “when” not “if”.

All “Yes” contracts at Kalshi will be graded as winners if Donald plays at least one snap in any pro football game this season, which includes preseason, regular season, and playoffs during the 2026-27 campaign.

According to the Polymarket terms and conditions, the “market will resolve to ‘Yes’ if any NFL team announces a contractual agreement with Aaron Donald by September 10, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to ‘No’.”

Do Rams Want Donald Back?

The short answer is YES! Very much so.

According to league sources, the session was less about the Rams evaluating the legendary defender and more about Donald personally testing his physical readiness. The Rams organization is already on record that Donald would be a welcome addition.

If Donald does return, he joins a Rams defense that knows exactly what he brings to the table. He is one of only three players in NFL history to win Defensive Player of the Year three times (2017, 2018, 2020). His potential return instantly elevates the Rams’ defensive front from a young, developing unit to a championship-caliber group.
