The Association of the Gaming Industry in Bulgaria (AGIB) has issued an official statement dismissing what it described as “recent speculation surrounding the future of BEGE and EEGS 2026.” The association confirmed that both events will take place as scheduled in 2026, with preparations progressing according to plan.
For the past 17 years, the Balkan Entertainment and Gaming Expo (BEGE) and the Eastern European Gaming Summit (EEGS) have established themselves as key platforms for the regional gaming industry.
Even during periods of economic uncertainty, legislative changes, market disruptions, and other challenges, the events continued to grow, reinforcing their reputation as the premier meeting point for industry professionals across the Balkans, the association said.
According to AGIB, that consistency, built on trust, professionalism, and long-term commitment, has helped position Bulgaria as one of the most influential gaming hubs in the Balkans. Today, BEGE and EEGS bring together the full spectrum of the industry, from land-based casinos and gaming halls to online gaming, live-casino, sports betting, payment solutions, software platforms, and gaming tourism.
In its statement, AGIB categorically rejected recent claims suggesting that BEGE will rotate between Bulgaria, Serbia, and Romania. The association described these claims as entirely false, reiterating that BEGE remains an international exhibition permanently hosted in Bulgaria, its natural home and an established meeting place for businesses, investors, regulators, and industry experts from across the region and beyond.
Over the years, BEGE has evolved into “a truly Balkan exhibition,” living up to its name by attracting investors and companies from every country in the region. At the same time, the event continues to welcome participants, exhibitors, and experts from Central and Western Europe, as well as from the United Kingdom. Its accompanying conference, EEGS, has also featured international speakers and opinion leaders.
“BEGE and EEGS 2026 will take place as planned. Preparations are progressing as scheduled, and our team is working closely with exhibitors, partners, speakers, institutions, and suppliers to deliver yet another successful edition of the region’s leading gaming industry event,” AGIB stated.
“With Romania’s gaming exhibition no longer taking place and the Belgrade event remaining primarily focused on the Serbian domestic market, BEGE continues to serve as the only truly international gathering dedicated to the Balkan gaming industry.”
The association cautions that the spread of unverified information serves neither the interests of the industry nor those of Bulgaria. On the contrary, it warned that it creates unnecessary uncertainty for companies and partners planning their participation.
AGIB therefore encouraged all stakeholders to rely exclusively on the organizers’ official communication channels, where key deadlines, updates, participants, and organizational details will be published.
AGIB concluded by expressing its sincere appreciation to exhibitors, sponsors, partners, and supporters of BEGE and EEGS. The association emphasized that the exhibition’s reputation has been built over nearly two decades “through consistent delivery, professionalism, and strong international partnerships, qualities that cannot be diminished by speculation or unfounded rumors.”
