Alan Keating

Alan Keating is doing Alan Keating things again.

The poker crusher and entrepreneur continued his red-hot run in nosebleed cash games, banking another monster pot worth $1,238,000 after seeing just about the perfect turn and river cards.

Keating is one of the headline names in the currently running $500/$1,000 Super High Roller Cash Game at the PokerGO Studio, a lineup that includes Andrew Robl, Phong “Turbo” Nguyen, Kirk Brown, Tan Nguyen, Justin Gavri, and Darin Feinstein. And it was Feinstein who found himself on the wrong end of this seven-figure clash.

Dream Turn & River for Keating

With a $4,000 double straddle on, Feinstein limped in with JJ, looking to set the trap. Brown raised to $19,000 from the small blind holding Q6, and Keating woke up in the big blind with QQ. Rather than inflate the pot immediately, Keating just called.

Feinstein then sprung his trap, three-betting to $90,000, but there was a monster lurking behind him. Brown eventually folded after a tank, while Keating smooth-called.

There was already $206,000 in the middle when the dealer spread the K85 flop. Feinstein fired $100,000, and Keating called once again.

The Q turn gave Keating exactly what he was hoping for, improving him to a set of queens. Both players checked the turn, but then came the fireworks.

The J river looked like a dream card for Feinstein, giving him a set of jacks but unbeknownst to him, he was as dead as a doornail.

With the bigger stack, Keating moved all in, putting Feinstein to the test for his remaining $416,000. Feinstein snap-called, only to see the bad news.

“Holy s***,” said a stunned Feinstein, throwing his hands in the air. “What a f****** river.”
