Alan Keating Wins $1M+ as Lodge Card Club Returns with Insane Cash Game Session

The Lodge livestream may have been out of action since March’s legal battle shut down the card room, but it hasn’t taken long to make an incredible return after reopening.

On Thursday, one of the craziest cash game sessions you’ll see all year unfolded, with Alan Keating finishing over $1 million up, while returning star Garrett Adelstein made an insane runner-runner straight to drag in a near half-million pot. Fan favorites Taras and Jasper, meanwhile, ended the night on the receiving end of some brutal beatings.

Oh, and we haven’t even mentioned Doug Polk scooping a $650,000 pot against Keating himself.

Here are some of the biggest moments from an insanely wild, over 8-hour livestream:

Keating Banks $920k… And It Could Have Been More

After some early action, a flop of 2♣J♣A♣ saw only Keating come along for the ride after EZ ripped it in for $192,100 holding J♠4♣, with Keating holding K♣4♦. They agreed to run it twice, and the 8♣ on the first turn immediately gave Keating the check mark.

EZ shook his head in pain and turned away as the 10♥ completed the board, but the second runout somehow delivered even more misery.

The 7♠ turn this time made EZ a huge favorite, before the dealer peeled the 9♣ to complete Keating’s straight and send the second pot his way too.

It was not even the biggest pot Keating dragged from EZ during the session. Holding Q♠Q♣ against Keating’s A♣K♥, EZ called a 4-bet preflop to build a $64,800 pot heads-up.

The 6♣K♠4♦ flop vaulted Keating into a commanding lead. After EZ checked, Keating fired $30,000 and got called. The 4♠ turn only widened the gap further, and after another check, Keating piled in $65,000 more, with EZ quickly continuing.

When the K♦ river improved Keating to a full house, EZ checked for a third time and Keating moved all in for $179,400 effective. EZ went deep into the tank but eventually paid it off, only to see the bad news as the $613,600 pot was pushed to Keating.

Polk Takes Down $652K Pot vs. Keating

Polk opened to $8,000 from the small blind holding 8♦5♦. Jasper called under the gun with A♠9♥, while Keating came along from the hijack holding A♥Q♠.

The 5♣Q♥K♣ flop connected with both Polk and Keating. Polk continued for $16,000, Jasper quickly folded, and Keating made the call with top pair.

The 8♦ turn gave Polk two pair, and he responded with a chunky $85,000 overbet. Keating, sitting with a monstrous $2 million behind at the time, called once more.

The 3♦ river was a total brick for Keating. Polk announced all in for his remaining $212,900, prompting Keating to mutter, “You have 8-5.”

Unfortunately for him, he was right. After eventually tossing in the call, Keating was shown the winner as Polk scooped the $652,600 pot.

Adelstein Goes Runner-Runner to Win $465K Pot Off Taras

Adelstein, who made his first major public poker appearance since the infamous “Jack-Four” scandal on Hustler Casino Live, endured a rough reopening session on Wednesday, booking a $110,000 loss. And even an incredibly fortuitous run of the cards on Thursday couldn’t stop him from booking a minor loss.

After some early action, Taras raised to $1,500 on the button holding A♦K♠. Adelstein, out of position with 7♥5♥, three-bet to $13,000. Taras responded with a 4-bet to $27,500, and Adelstein called.

The flop came J♠K♣4♥. Taras checked top pair, Adelstein checked back.

The 6♦ turn gave Adelstein an open-ended straight draw, and he fired $30,000 after Taras checked again. Taras called.

The 3♦ completed Adelstein’s runner-runner straight as Taras’ trap completely backfired. Adelstein overbet jammed for Taras’ remaining $173,000, and after announcing the call, Taras was shown the bad news as the $465,000 pot headed to Adelstein.

Keating and KBM Win Big as EZ, Taras and Jasper Crushed

It was a massive session for Keating, who finished up with over seven figures in profit, while KBM booked a half-million-dollar win. Adelstein also looked as though he’d recovered strongly from Wednesday’s losses and was well ahead for much of the session, before some late action meant he ended $13,100 down.

Meanwhile, Polk finished above even, but EZ, Taras, and Jasper were left nursing brutal losses. Taras was felted multiple times throughout the stream, while Jasper, a familiar face from Hustler Casino Live, got absolutely obliterated, walking away nearly $800,000 in the hole.
