A throwback performance from world #4 Novak Djokovic has ended a run of three straight finals between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. Djokovic defeated #2 Sinner in a five-set thriller on Friday, setting up a clash with #1 Alcaraz in the 2026 Australian Open final on Sunday.

Djokovic hasn’t won a grand slam since the 2023 US Open, and oddsmakers don’t love his chance of ending the drought against the world #1.

Djokovic vs Alcaraz Odds (Australian Open Final)

Already a six-time major winner, the 22-year-old Alcaraz opened as a -295 betting favorite over the 24-time major champion Djokovic, who will turn 39 in May. Djokovic was as a +200 underdog initially.

In the ensuing minutes after the line was posted, Alcaraz was bet down to -301, while Djokovic’s odds faded to +240.

Alcaraz is also a -150 favorite to win in either three of four sets, with Djokovic priced at +110 to cover the 1.5-set spread. The odds to win in straight sets list Alcaraz at +185 with Novak a -250 favorite to at least win one set.
