Alex Foxen continues his fantastic 2025 with another victory at the PokerGO Tour PLO II series that is now going on at the Aria in Las Vegas. The win in the second event of the series, a $5,100 Quattro Bounty contest, was good for a total of $177,000 — the $$87,000 top prize that came with the trophy, and $90,000 in bounties for playing the part of a gorilla at the final table.
He started the final table by first knocking out Dan Shak, and then got a two-for-one deal a few hands later when he knocked out both Christopher Hannel and Joe Sherlock in one hand.
Kamel Mokhammad, LaDarren Banks, and Michael Wang soon followed them out the door, leaving Foxen with his fifth PGT title of the year. He’s made 19 final-tables in 2025, and has cashed more than $10 million, building his all-time tournament money stack to $53 million.
He has one more win this year, which he captured in a $25,000 event at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Montenegro in May.

Foxen currently sits in fourth on the Global Poker Index Player of the Year list, behind Jesse Lonis, Punnat Punsri, and Artur Martirosyan. He won the award in 2018.
His five wins on the PokerGO Tour has him sitting pretty on the top of their Player of the Year list. He’s just in front of Michael Mizrachi, but there are still 33 more events left in 2025 for the players to pick up PGT Player of the Year points, so while Foxen seems to be pulling away with it, nothing is certain.
The winner of the PGT Player of the Year gets a $50,000 prize, a PGT Passport, and extra chips in the PGT $1 Million Championship freeroll, which has a $500,000 top prize.
