Allen Kessler

Allen Kessler has spent years carving out a unique lane in poker. Known primarily as a mixed-game specialist, he’s built his reputation grinding smaller-field events, chasing value (on and off the poker table), and even running his own tournament series. It’s not always flashy, but it’s consistent — and every now and then, it turns into a heater.

That’s exactly what happened this March.

Kessler quietly put together a two-win stretch, picking up a pair of rings in different poker tour stops, but in the same mixed-game format.

RGPS Win at Borgata

The first result came at the Borgata during the RunGood Poker Series.

Kessler took down a $400 T.O.R.S.E. event, outlasting a field of 52 entries. The tournament ended in a three-way chop, with each player earning $4,090, but Kessler walked away with the RGPS Passport Ring.

WSOP Circuit Ring #5 in Las Vegas

Kessler’s second win of the month came at the WSOP Circuit stop in Las Vegas, where he took down a $600 T.O.R.S.E. event.

The tournament drew 119 entries, building a solid field for one of the newer mixed-game formats. Kessler navigated the field and closed it out for $15,933, adding another piece of hardware to his collection.

The win marked his fifth career WSOP Circuit ring, with previous titles dating back to 2007 and spanning multiple formats, including no-limit hold’em and mixed games.

Like his RGPS victory earlier in the month, this one came in T.O.R.S.E. — a rotation that swaps hold’em for triple draw — a format Kessler has long supported and clearly feels comfortable in.
