iGaming content provider BGaming has launched Sugar Merge Up, a new candy-themed slot featuring a 6×6 cluster-pay grid and its signature Merge Up mechanic.
Set in a candy-coloured world led by a playful jelly bear mascot, the title marks the latest addition to BGaming’s #Entertainment gaming category.
A key highlight is the return of BGaming’s signature Merge Up mechanic. This cascade-based feature allows winning symbols to merge and upgrade into higher-value symbols, increasing the potential for larger wins across consecutive cascades.
Sugar Merge Up builds on the gameplay of Merge Up 2 by introducing new elements aimed at enhancing player engagement. Among these is the Bubblegum symbol, which can detonate upon formation, clearing up to eight surrounding symbols. The explosion also boosts multipliers in affected positions before the symbol transforms into a Scatter.
Scatter symbols play a central role in unlocking the Free Spins bonus, offering up to 30 spins. Players can extend the bonus round by landing three or more additional Scatters during gameplay.
The slot also introduces multiple betting enhancements, with two booster modes as part of six Buy Bonus options in total. The Chance ×2 amplifier is available at 1.2× the player’s stake, while the Random Booster offers multipliers of up to ×128 for 10× the bet.
A more advanced option, Booster ×16, applies ×16 multipliers across the entire grid at a cost of 40× the stake. Free Spins Buy Bonuses range in price from 100× to 500× the initial bet.
Julia Alekseeva, CPO at BGaming, said: Sugar Merge Up takes everything players loved about Merge Up 2 and makes it even sweeter. The additional bonus features boost player engagement, while the multiple Booster and Buy Bonus options ensure there is plenty of flexibility.
“The candy theme is always a hit with players, and, given the explosive and colourful nature of the Merge Up™ mechanic, it was only a matter of time before the two were combined.”
