iGaming content provider BGaming will hold its second Charity Gala on May 29, 2026, in Malta, building on the contributions raised in the inaugural event from 2025.

The first edition generated €200,000 ($234,000), with funds contributing to the construction of a new Respite Centre operated by DAR Bjorn. The 2026 event will continue support for the facility, with proceeds allocated to medical and care equipment and to four resident rooms intended for new admissions.

The Charity Gala will take place at the Bastion Pool area of The Phoenicia Hotel in Malta. The event is invitation-only and will gather iGaming executives, business representatives, and philanthropic participants.

Funds raised in 2026 will be used for ventilators, motorized beds, air mattresses, hoist lifters, and oxygen concentrators. All proceeds will be transferred directly to DAR Bjorn, while BGaming will cover event production costs.

“Last year’s Gala showed us what is possible when our industry comes together around a shared purpose,” said Marina Ostrovtsova, Chief Executive Officer at BGaming. “Raising €200,000 in a single evening was a remarkable achievement and provided real, tangible support to the people at DAR Bjorn who need it most.”

DAR Bjorn was founded by Bjorn Formosa, a former iGaming professional diagnosed with ALS at age 28. The organization provides care to about 60 residents across two centers and supports nearly 800 individuals in the community. Demand for services continues to rise, with the Respite Centre intended to increase capacity for care and admissions.

The event is organized in partnership with Next.io as the official media partner and will be hosted by Joseph Chetcuti. The program includes live music by Versatile, an art performance and auction featuring L7Matrix and Gonçalo MAR, and a charity raffle.

Supporting partners include Flutter, Alea, and SiGMA. MyAffiliates will participate as a Silver Partner, while Amusnet Gaming, 1spin4win, and Finteq Hub will join as Bronze Partners.

“Returning for a second year with an even greater ambition is something we are incredibly proud of,” said Ostrovtsova. “The funds we raise this year will go toward equipment that directly improves residents’ quality of life.

These donations are the difference between comfort and hardship for people living with serious neurological conditions, and we hope both the iGaming community and the wider Maltese community will once again stand with us,” she added.

Those wishing to attend or become a sponsor can submit an inquiry on the event’s website.
