BMM Testlabs says Peru’s regulated gaming market is a key part of its Latin American strategy, as the country’s online betting framework settles and land-based casino operations continue to drive demand for testing, certification, cybersecurity, and compliance services.

The company, which has operated in Lima since 2007, will return to Peru Gaming Show 2026 this week with services covering land-based gaming, iGaming, cybersecurity, and online compliance training through the BMM Innovation Group.

In an exclusive interview with Yogonet, Carlos Núñez del Prado, Service Delivery Manager at BMM Testlabs, discusses the company’s expectations for PGS 2026, Peru’s regulatory development, and the role of the market in BMM’s regional growth plans.

What are BMM’s expectations for PGS 2026? What solutions will the company be presenting at the event?

PGS is always one of the most important gaming events in Latin America, and we are excited to return to Lima this year. We expect to have great conversations with operators, suppliers, regulators, and industry leaders about the future of gaming in Peru and across the region.

We will be at Booth 31-32 to discuss our full range of solutions and services through the BMM Innovation Group. This includes product testing, certification, and inspection services from BMM Testlabs, cybersecurity services from BIG Cyber, and compliance-grade online training from RG24seven Virtual Training.

As gaming markets become more complex, companies are looking for trusted partners who can help them meet regulatory requirements, strengthen security, and grow with confidence. That is exactly what we provide.

PGS 2026 finds the Peruvian market with a more consolidated and effective regulatory framework for the online sector. How does BMM position itself in this scenario? What is your evaluation of the development of the local industry?

We are very encouraged by the progress Peru has made. The country has created a clear and effective regulatory framework that provides certainty for operators, suppliers, and players. This has helped Peru become one of the most attractive regulated gaming markets in Latin America.

BMM is proud to have played a role in supporting that growth. We were among the first laboratories approved to test and certify online gaming and sports betting products under Peru’s new regulations.

Today, we continue to work closely with regulators and industry stakeholders to help ensure compliance, integrity, and player protection. The Peru market has matured significantly, and we believe Peru is well positioned for continued long-term growth.

Land-based gaming also has significant weight in the Peruvian market. What will BMM’s proposal be for this sector at PGS?

Land-based gaming remains an important part of Peru’s gaming industry, and it continues to present exciting opportunities for suppliers and operators. At PGS, we will highlight our extensive experience testing and certifying slot machines, electronic table games, casino management systems, cashless technologies, and other land-based gaming products.

Our goal is to help our customers bring products to market efficiently and quickly, while maintaining the highest levels of regulatory compliance and operational integrity. With more than four decades of experience serving regulated gaming markets worldwide, we understand the challenges suppliers and operators face and how to help them succeed.

BMM has had a physical presence in Lima since 2007, serving the traditional casino sector. How do your certification strategies for land-based gaming coexist with the deployment of iGaming in Peru today?

We view land-based gaming and iGaming as complementary sectors rather than separate businesses. Many of our customers operate in both environments, and they are looking for a partner that can support their compliance needs across their entire operation.

Because BMM has expertise in both land-based and online gaming, we can help customers navigate both worlds. Whether it is a slot machine on a casino floor, an online casino platform, a mobile betting application, or a cybersecurity assessment, our focus remains the same: helping customers meet regulatory requirements while protecting their brands and their players.

South America is progressing at different regulatory speeds, with Brazil in everyone’s sights and established markets like Colombia. What strategic position does Peru occupy today within BMM Innovation Group’s global growth map?

Peru is one of the most important markets in Latin America for BMM. While Brazil is generating a lot of attention because of its size and recent regulation, Peru has built a strong reputation as a stable, mature, and well-regulated gaming market.

Our long-standing presence in Lima shows our commitment to the country. Peru serves as both an important market in its own right and a strategic hub for supporting customers throughout the region. We expect Peru to continue playing a key role in BMM’s growth strategy as operators expand their land-based and online gaming offerings.

If you had to define the group’s main objective for the end of this year in the Peruvian market, what would it be?

Our primary objective is simple: continue being the most trusted compliance partner for Peru’s gaming industry since we opened our lab in Lima in 2007.

We want to help suppliers, operators, and regulators navigate a rapidly evolving market by providing world-class testing, cybersecurity, and training services. As gaming technology continues to advance, we will remain focused on helping our customers launch products faster, strengthen their cybersecurity posture, meet regulatory requirements, and build long-term success in Peru, throughout Latin America, and wherever they want to launch products.
