Jamul Casino Resort in California has appointed Kimberly Miranda as Vice President of Finance, promoting the former Director of Finance to oversee the property’s financial operations as the property pursues long-term growth and operational efficiency.

Miranda, who joined the resort in September 2025 as Director of Finance, has more than 25 years of financial leadership experience across the gaming and hospitality industries, including expertise in Tribal gaming compliance, capital planning, and enterprise financial systems. In her new role, she will oversee the resort’s financial operations with a focus on fiscal performance, operational efficiency and long-term strategic growth.

Kimberly is an exceptional financial leader whose expertise, integrity, and strategic mindset have already made a tremendous impact on our organization,” Mary Cheeks, President and General Manager of Jamul Casino Resort, said in a statement.

“She combines deep technical knowledge with the ability to modernize financial operations, develop high-performing teams, and provide sound strategic guidance. Her experience in Tribal gaming, capital planning, and financial transformation makes her the ideal leader to help position Jamul Casino Resort for continued growth and long-term success,” Cheeks added.

Before joining Jamul Casino Resort, Miranda served as Associate Director of Finance at Enchantment Resort and Mii amo Spa in Sedona, Arizona. She also spent more than 13 years at Cliff Castle Casino Hotel in Camp Verde, Arizona, where she advanced from Controller to Director of Finance.

During her tenure at Cliff Castle, she oversaw a hotel tower expansion, led the migration to cloud-based accounting software, implemented Bank Secrecy Act and Title 31 compliance systems, and managed the property’s finances during the COVID-19 pandemic by securing relief funding, renegotiating debt, and maintaining payroll during temporary closures.

Her financial reports on Tribal compact matters were cited by the Arizona State Gaming Agency as model references for other Tribal gaming operations in the state.

Since joining Jamul Casino Resort, Miranda has supported the property’s growth following its hotel expansion and contributed to initiatives that the company said helped strengthen guest loyalty and industry recognition, including its AAA Four Diamond designation.

“Being a part of the Jamul Casino Resort team has allowed me the opportunity to contribute to an organization with a strong foundation and an exciting future,” Miranda said.

I’m eager to continue working alongside the leadership team to build on that momentum through sound financial strategy, thoughtful planning and responsible stewardship that supports innovation, operational excellence and the Tribe’s long-term success,” she added.
