Online betting operator Tonybet has awarded a CA$15,000 ($10,576) prize to a customer in Canada after the player uncovered the bronze card in the company’s World Cup Card Collection promotion.

The bronze card is the first of three rare cards available through the promotion, which is running alongside the World Cup and carries a total prize pool of CA$150,000 ($105,750) in Canada.

The cards are distributed randomly through virtual card packs earned by participants, with no option to purchase the cards directly or improve the odds through higher betting activity.

The bronze card was available during the tournament’s group stage and has now been claimed by the Canadian winner. Two higher-value prizes remain in circulation: a silver card tied to the knockout rounds through the quarter-finals and a gold card reserved for the final stages of the tournament.

The promotion requires participants to complete football-related challenges and open card packs earned through gameplay.

Tonybet noted that identical World Cup Card Collection promotions are running across several of its other markets. While some markets have already seen bronze cards claimed, others still have all three cards available.

The promotion runs through July 31, with separate prize pools offered in different jurisdictions. The winner’s identity was not disclosed.

The prize comes as Canada co-hosts the World Cup, marking the first time the country has served as a host nation for the tournament and increasing local interest in the competition.

The silver and gold cards remain available as the tournament progresses toward its final stages.
