  • The Charles Schwab Challenge tees off Thursday, May 28th
  • Ludvig Aberg is the favorite to win over Russell Henley at Colonial Country Club
  • See my 2026 Charles Schwab Challenge picks, best value bets, and the odds to win the tournament

After Wyndham Clark won the CJ Cup Byron Nelson as a +3700 longer shot before the tournament began, the PGA Tour heads down the road to the Charles Schwab Challenge. The event is being contested at famed Colonial Country Club at “Hogan’s Alley”. Local favorites Scottie Scheffler and Jordan Spieth have opted not to tee it up this week, however the field is still relatively strong.

This golf course values precision play as opposed to being a bombers paradise, with -15 being the best winning score in the last seven iterations of this championship. Ludvig Aberg is the favorite to win his third PGA Tour event in his debut at Colonial, following six top-10s in his last seven tourney on the main circuit.

Charles Schwab Challenge Odds (2026)

I’m starting my card this week with Alex Smalley, who very nearly won for the first time on the PGA Tour two weeks ago at the PGA Championship. He led after 54 holes, before winding up in a tie for second. That was his second runner-up in four tournaments, and Smalley has posted top-25s in eight of his last ten events.

Odds as of 10:14 pm ET on Sunday, May 22nd, at DraftKings. Check out the full list of DraftKings deposit methods.

Last 5 Charles Schwab Challenge Winners

Not many players have been playing as consistently and solidly as Smalley has for quite some time in 2026, and I love that his +3500 odds are longer than the top twelve golfers on the board.

Charles Schwab Challenge 2026 Picks & Value Bets

  1. Sungjae Im +4500: Sungjae Im was in contention at the recently completed Byron Nelson, where he wound up in a tie for ninth. That was his third top-10 on the year, two of which have come in the last three times teeing it up. He also has impressive course history, with top-10s in 2020 & 2024, along with a top-15 in 2022.
  2. Stephan Jaeger +6200: Stephan Jaeger has come off a pair of solid showings, with a top-20 at the PGA Championship, followed by a top-10 at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson. The 2024 Texas Children’s Houston Open champion has posted three top-10s on the campaign, and is trending upwards.
  3. Emiliano Grillo +11500: Emiliano Grillo has been something of a horse for this course, with a title in 2023, a third in 2018, a T-8th in 2021 in his five career top-20s at Colonial Country Club. He’s coming off a respectable, though unspectacular top-40 at the Byron Nelson.
  4. Davis Riley +43000: I love this wild number posted for Davis Riley, knowing that he’s a total boom or bust golfer at this track. He won at Colonial just two years ago, and also was T-4th in 2022. He’s also missed two cuts here in his four total times teeing it up at this course, but given he has a victory and another top-five here, I love the super long odds. While it’s probably a bit much to ask him to go the distance and win, he’ll be interesting to monitor in the top 5/10/20 markets.
