DATA.BET reports 39.7% sports betting GGR growth one year after vertical launch

Sportsbook solutions provider DATA.BET reported 39.7% growth in gross gaming revenue (GGR) from its sports betting vertical during the first year after launch, driven by rising betting activity and a sharp increase in active users.

The company, which originated as an esports-focused supplier, released performance data from clients acquired since the official launch of its sports betting offering, highlighting growth across revenue, turnover, and player engagement metrics.

According to DATA.BET, turnover increased 30.7% quarter-on-quarter over the period, while the number of bets and total stake volume rose 83.5%. Combo bets, which allow players to combine multiple selections, increased 160.5%.

The supplier also reported a 147.6% rise in active users across client projects during the first 12 months, reflecting broader audience acquisition and engagement.

The company attributed part of the growth to its product features, including its Bet Builder tool, live streaming services, and in-play widgets that provide match statistics, player performance data, and event updates.

Bet Builder, available across football, basketball, baseball, and American football, allows users to combine multiple selections within a single match, including Player Props on individual player actions such as goals, assists, and points.

Streaming ensures users have direct access to live events without leaving the betting interface, while Widgets bring match data, player performance, and event progress across key sports.

DATA.BET also expanded its network of official data partnerships during the year, including agreements with Infront for tennis, Odds Composer for basketball, Genius Sports, and BETER.

Football remained the leading sport by user engagement, with the number of bets increasing 107.5% and active users rising 173.1%. Table tennis recorded a 172.5% increase in active players, while tennis posted growth of 33.6% in bet volume and 35% in active users.

Basketball generated some of the strongest commercial results, with turnover rising 83.7% and its user base increasing 96.8%. Niche disciplines also recorded growth, with turnover up 56.6% and active players increasing 97.4%. Darts emerged as a standout discipline, posting a 15% increase in turnover.

At the tournament level, England’s Premier League remained the most profitable competition over the year, with event numbers increasing 45.7%. Nearly half of the betting volume on the league was generated through the 1X2 market.

Across top-tier tournaments, turnover rose 102.7%, profit increased 187.2%, and bet count grew 196.6% compared with lower-tier competitions.

At the same time, the low-tier segment continued to expand in player numbers and betting activity, adding to the broader growth of the recreational audience and overall sportsbook diversification.

This stands in contrast to the DATA.BET report of Q1 Esports Performance, where niche tournaments are in the center of attention, underscoring how audience behavior can differ across verticals.
