The Poker masters series on the PokerGO Tour just wrapped up at the Aria in Las Vegas, and congratulations goes to David Coleman, who not only won the first event, but also finished as runner-up in the last event, which earned him enough points to be named the series’ top player.

Coleman cashed three times in 10 events at the Poker Masters, winning a total of $657,700. For finishing with the most tournament points, he earned the Poker Masters purple jacket, which comes with a $25,000 PGT Passport that could be used to buy-in any PGT event.
He kicked-off the series with a win in the $5,000 buy-in $1,000,000 Showcase, which brought in 239 entrants. It’s the fifth victory on the PGT for the man from Livingston, New Jersey. He now has 29 final tables and 48 cashes and moved into the $12 million lifetime earnings range with his four cashes in September.
Coleman needed to do well in the final event of the series in order to be named as series champion for the first time, and he did just that, coming as close to winning his sixth PGT title before falling to Brandon Wilson in the $25,000 final. He earned $355,000 for second.
In fact, Coleman had to make sure to finish ahead of Doug Lee in the finale event in order to win the purple jacket. If Lee won the event, he would have finished on top of the series’ leaderboard, but he stalled in third place.
Although Foxen was denied his first series championship, he now sits on top of the PGT leaderboard with three months to go in the year. He also had a victory and a runner-up at the Poker Masters.
