Every Monday night, Hellmuth’s Home Game presented by Poker Night in America (PNIA) and sponsored by BetRivers is once again airing on CBS Sports on Monday nights.
The nationally-televised show, which was filmed at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada, is unique in that there is no commentary. Instead, the show is carried by table talk from Phil Hellmuth alongside a cast of fellow pros and friends in an intimate, relaxed cash game setting.
PokerNews watched Episode 21 and compiled a recap of some of the biggest hands and interesting storylines.
Here’s how things stacked up at the start of the episode:
| Seat | Player | Stack |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Randy “3Coin” Sadler | $5,000 |
| 2 | DJ Washburn | $15,000 |
| 3 | Mike Matusow | $14,950 |
| 4 | Kelly Lucas | $10,000 |
| 5 | Phil Hellmuth | $5,000 |
| 6 | John Cerasani | $5,000 |
| 7 | Phillip “P3” Hellmuth III | $5,000 |
The game was played with $25/$50 blinds with a $50 big blind ante. Here’s a look at some of the biggest hands from the episode.
Cerasani Picks a Bad Time to Shove

John Cerasani looked down at the A♦2♠ in early position and limped, which prompted Phillip “P3” Hellmuth III to do the same from the hijack with the 9♦8♥. Randy “3Coin” Sadler came along from the cutoff holding the J♣9♣ and DJ Washburn raised to $500 from the button with the J♥5♠.
Kelly Lucas flatted from the small blind with the 4♠4♣, Cerasani called, and P3 folded. 3Coin called, and it was four-way action to a flop of 2♥J♠Q♥. After Kelly checked, Cerasani bet $250 with bottom pair. 3Coin folded, Washburn raised to $700, and Kelly ditched her pocket pair.
Cerasani called, and it was heads-up to the 4♥ turn. Cerasani bet $500, Washburn called, and the 3♥ river put four heads on board. Cerasani, who didn’t have a heart, picked a bad time to move all in for $3,500 as Washburn called with his flush to win the $11,525 pot.
Pocket Rockets for the Mouth

Mike Matusow looked down at the A♥A♦ in early position and raised to $300. Cerasani called from the button with the K♠J♠, 3Coin came along from the big blind with the J♣10♣, and Washburn defended his straddle with the K♣4♥.
The 10♦6♦8♣ flop saw two checks put action on Matusow, and he continued for $600. Cerasani called with not much of anything, and then 3Coin check-raised to $1,200. Washburn folded, Matusow reraised to $5,000, and Cersani folded. 3Coin called off for $3,600 total, and just like that, there was a $9,075 pot on the live.
The 7♦ turn was no help to 3Coin, and neither was the 8♦ river, which improved Matusow to a needless flush.
Washburn Flops the Joint

Cerasani limped the hijack with the 10♠2♣ before DJ Washburn raised to $250 from the button with the Q♠10♣. Kelly Lucas came along from the big blind with the 6♠5♠, Cerasani put in an additional $200, and it was three-way to a flop of Q♣10♦Q♦.
Kelly checked, Cerasani moved all in for $1,450 with his two pair, and Washburn had an easy call after flopping a full boat. Kelly quickly got out of the way, and Cerasani discovered the bad news that he was drawing dead, headed to the turn and river, which came the meaningless A♣ and 7♠ respectively.
Cerasani Closes Out Night with a Double

With the $100 straddle on, Hellmuth limped first to act with the 6♥6♦, and Cerasani raised to $400 next to act with the A♥J♠. 3Coin made it $700 to go from the button with the A♦K♣, both blinds and the straddler folded, and Hellmuth called with his small pocket pair. Cersani came along, and it was three-way to the flop of J♣3♠7♠.
Hellmuth checked, Cerasani bet $1,000 with top pair, and 3Coin called. Hellmuth got out of the way and the 10♦ appeared on the turn. Cersani bet another $1,000 and 3Coin wasted little time in moving all in. Cersani had $3,200 behind and called off to create a $12,725 pot.
The J♦ river improved Cersani to trip,s and he scored a double in the last hand of the night.
Here’s how things looked at the end of the episode.
