A new online poker player has jumped into the interstate mix.
DraftKings Poker has been given clearance to start offering multi-state poker between Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, according to the Michigan Gaming Control Board.
This allows players from all three states to compete against each other in tournaments and tables, helping increase the prize pots for all involved.
DraftKings Poker lands three big iGaming markets
The MGCB made the announcement on this new poker option on Monday in a press release, indicating it went through a thorough review before determining that DraftKings met all regulatory requirements to offer multi-state poker online.
“This approval reflects the strength of our partnership with Bay Mills Indian Community and the thoroughness of our regulatory process,” MGCB Executive Director Henry Williams said in the release. “As Michigan’s multistate poker network continues to grow, we remain focused on ensuring every operator meets the same high bar for fairness, security, and player protection.”
Combined pools between players from other states is available through the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA).
New Jersey was the first to join MSIGA of the three states, adding its place in October 2017. Michigan was next, signing on May 23, 2022. Pennsylvania was the most recent to join, as it signed on April 28, 2025.
Along with these three states, Delaware, Nevada, and West Virginia are also part of the agreement and can offer online poker between the states.
Currently, just these three states will offer DraftKings poker between them, but other states can be added if they meet the regulatory requirements each state has, along with MSIGA, itself.
Along with online poker, DraftKings is also a legal online sportsbook, online casino, and daily fantasy product in each of the three states.
Other Available Online Poker Apps
DraftKings Poker joins a growing list of available online poker apps in the US market.
Each app has its own unique features, as well as inter-state poker settings. Some online poker apps combine different state player pools that others, but each features a variety of available online poker games.
