The latest $109 buy-in Mystery Bounty Main Event at 888poker saw 979 players take to the virtual felt, each sharing the same goal of securing as much of the $100,000 prize pool as possible. Finland’s “dmg34” may not have scooped the largest payout despite emerging victoriously, but turning $109 into $7,963 is not to be sniffed at.
Day 1 of the $100,000 Mystery Bounty took place on November 3 and saw the 979-strong crowd whittled to an eight-handed final table. The $10,000 jackpot bounty was captured during Day 1 proceedings, as were most of the larger bounty payments. However, an envelope containing $3,000 was still in play at the final table.
Finland’s “dmg34” sat down at the final table with the chip lead in tow. Their 70 big blind stack placed them at the top of the chip counts. “Flexa1416” of the United Kingdom brought up the rear with 11 big blinds.

| 8 | Flexa1416 | United Kingdom | $425 | 550,511 | 11 |
The attempts by “Flexa1416” to improve their lowly position fell flat, and they crashed out in eighth-place for a $1,175 addition to their bankroll. Swedish star Jerry “Perrymejsen” Odeen joined the list of busted players. His seventh-place finish came with $1,225.
The popular 888poker Twitch stream started after Odeen’s elimination, with “dmg34” still leading the way. Twenty minutes into the stream, “Competencia” min-raised under the gun with ace-king, and the action folded to “User1912” in the big blind. They looked down at pocket queens and three-bet before calling off their last 10.2 big blinds when the initial raiser moved all-in. An ace on the flop proved enough to reduce the player count to only five.
Those five became four after the untimely demise of “Ramialb14.” All the way from Trinidad & Tobago, “Ramialb14” raised with nine-eight of clubs from under the gun, “NoTrustEver” called in the small blind with ace-ten, and the flop fell eight-high. “NoTrustEver” check-called a half-pot bet. A ten on the turn saw “NoTrustEver” check again. “Ramialb14” decided to move all-in, having picked up a gutshot straight draw to go with their pair of eights. “NoTrustEver” called, the river bricked, and “Ramialb14” Was eliminated.

Fourth place went to Brazil’s “Competencia.” They lost all but four big blinds when their ace-queen lost to the queen-ten of spades of “dmg34” courtesy of a ten landing on the river, and they never recovered. The last of their chips went in with king-nine, which was up against the ace-ten of “bolexy.” A ten on the flop and an ace on the river were not what the at-risk player wanted to see.
Three-handed play lasted 50 minutes, ending with “brolexy” heading to the showers. Their final action in this event was to push all-in for 9.2 big blinds with queen-six of clubs on the button and watch on as “NoTrustEver” called with ace-seven. The all-in player busted despite turning a flush draw.
“dmg34” started the heads-up battle against “NoTrustEver” with a 43.7 to 29.7 big blind chip advantage. It took only one hand for the chip leader to help themselves to their final opponent’s stack.
“NoTrustEver” raised with king-queen, and “dmg34” called with nine-seven of hearts. A six-seven-ten flop with two diamonds (NoTrustEver held the king of diamonds) saw “dmg34” check-call a chunky continuation bet. The eight of diamonds on the turn improved “dmg34” to a straight, but gave “NoTrustEver” outs to a flush.
“dmg34” check-called a second barrel on the turn. The river was the four of hearts, a total brick. “dmg34” checked, “NoTrustEver” kept to their story and jammed 16.2 big blinds into the 27 big blind pot with nothing but king-high. “dmg34” quickly called, turned over a straight, and became the 888poker $100,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event champion.
