- The Genesis Scottish Open tees off Thursday, July 9th
- Scottie Scheffler is the +450 favorite to win over Rory McIlroy
- See my 2026 Genesis Scottish Open picks, best value bets, and the odds to win the tournament
After Chris Gotterup stormed back to win the John Deere Classic with a scintillating Sunday round of 62, the PGA Tour heads overseas for the Genesis Scottish Open. He’ll surely come in with a ton of confidence, given that he’s the defending champion of this tournament. It’s the final tune-up before the last major championship of 2026, which will be the Open Championship from Royal Birkdale Golf Club.
For the last four years, this event has been co-sanctioned between the PGA and DP World Tour, and it’s produced great champions, with Xander Schauffele taking it in 2022, Rory McIlroy in 2023, Robert MacIntyre two years ago, and then Gotterup in 2025. Scottie Scheffler comes in having lost the Travelers Championship playoff two weeks ago, and unsurprisingly is the favorite to win his second tourney of 2026. The last three iterations have featured a winning score of at least 15 under par at the par 70 Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland.
Genesis Scottish Open Odds (2026)
I’m starting my card this week with a local hero in Robert MacIntyre, who nearly won here in 2023, finishing runner-up to Rory McIlroy. He then stole the title away from Adam Scott with a brilliant final hole birdie a year later to claim the championship for his second PGA Tour triumph.
Odds as of 9:47 pm ET on Sunday, July 5th, at DraftKings. Check out the full list of DraftKings deposit methods.
Last 4 Genesis Scottish Open Winners
The lefty is coming off a top-10 at the Travelers Championship, and also was fourth at the Players Championship and T-2nd at the Valero Texas Open earlier in the season.
At +3600 odds to win outright, you can snag MacIntyre with a heftier price than the top-12 golfers on the board, which is very intriguing for a player that loves this track.
Genesis Scottish Open 2026 Picks & Value Bets
- Nicolai Hojgaard +6567 (1.5¢) at Kalshi: It’s only a matter of time before Nicolai Hojgaard breaks through on the PGA Tour, and this can be a soft landing spot, seeing as how he’s playing in his home continent of Europe. On the campaign, he’s come very close to that elusive first W, with runners-up at Houston Open and the Truist Championship. The Dane has been very competitive at the Renaissance Club in the past, with a T-4th last year and T-6th in 2023.
- Patrick Reed +7400 at DraftKings: While Patrick Reed hasn’t been as blazing hot as he was to start 2026 (two wins and a playoff loss in a three-event stretch), he’s still put up three top-12s, two of which came at majors (Masters, PGA). This number feels like a little bit of a disrespectful price, though he’s never played this championship. Still, I’ll take the bait on this one and lock up the eight-time PGA Tour winner.
- Eugenio Chacarra +9900 (1.5¢) at Kalshi: Before missing the cut at the just finished BMW International Open, Spaniard Eugenio Chacarra won back-to-back tourneys he teed it up on the DP World Tour at the KLM Open and Italian Open. He doesn’t have a ton of experience facing the biggest names, given that he was on LIV for three years (one victory), but he’s a tremendous talent and at this number, definitely worth a flier.
- Sepp Straka +15000 at DraftKings: I’m going big game hunting again after nearly picking off a +17500 winner with Lucas Glover at the John Deere Classic, where he finished T-3rd. Sepp Straka hasn’t exactly been firing on all cylinders as of late, but does have three top-10s on the campaign, including a runner-up. Last year at this event, he wound up seventh, so I love the four-time PGA Tour winner at this bloated number. While winning might be a stretch, he’ll be interesting to monitor in the top 5/10/20 markets.
