Earlier this year, the Amateur Poker Association & Tour (APAT) partnered with Sky Poker for all of its APAT Online tournaments during 2026. The first APAT Online Championship Weekend ran in early April, and this coming weekend marks the second of six such championships.
As APAT is a tour for recreational players, the buy-ins for the APAT Online Championship Weekend are at the more affordable end of the scale. At 7:00 p.m. BST on May 8, the first of three flights of the £40 APAT Online Main Event shuffles up and deals.
Subsequent Day 1s begin at 7:00 p.m. BST on May 9, with the third and final Day 1 scheduled for the earlier time of 4:00 p.m. BST on May 10. Day 2 begins at 7:00 p.m. BST on May 10. It continues until a champion is crowned, with that champion taking home the largest slice of a £5,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Those who have played APAT events before know that the top three finishers receive gold, silver, and bronze medals. Such medals will be awarded to the top trio in the £40 APAT Online Main Event, too. Additionally, the APAT Online Main Event champion will also earn a seat at the live Vegas 27 tournament, where a $10,000 Las Vegas bankroll will be won. More on that later.
The APAT Online Championship’s schedule also includes a handful of Main Event satellites, a £10 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo tournament, a £10 Pot-Limit Omaha side event, and a £30 Bounty Hunter event for players to get their teeth into.

APAT Live Heads to Leeds on the Weekend of May 15
You don’t have long to wait if live poker is your thing and you want to play in an APAT event because APAT Championship Leeds is only a week away. Taking place at the Grosvenor G Casino between May 15-17, APAT Leeds’ schedule features a £140 buy-in Main Event, and a pair of No-Limit Hold’em side events costing £70 and £140 to enter.
APAT last visited the West Yorkshire city in October 2025. The main event attracted 221 entrants, creating a £25,415 prize pool. Chris Rhodes was the last man standing; he banked £5,050 and a coveted gold APAT medal.
