Freeroll Your Way to a £2,000 888poker LIVE Glasgow Package

888poker is to host a special freeroll on February 28, where the top two finishers win a £2,000 package to the 888poker LIVE Glasgow Main Event. Entry to this value-packed freeroll is limited to player who have made at least one real-money deposit into their 888poker accounts and who complete one of the following challenges between February 1-25:

• Play at least 50 tournaments with a buy-in of at least $5
• Win at least 500 hands in cash games
• Play at least 75 BLAST games with buy-ins of at least $5

Anyone completing one of those challenges receives a seat in the February 28 freeroll, where the top two finishers receive a £2,000 package consisting of:

• $1,160 (£888) buy-in to the 888poker LIVE Glasgow Main Event
• $500 towards accommodation
• $340 towards travel expenses

In addition to this special freeroll, 888poker will soon begin running online satellites to the 888poker LIVE Glasgow Main Event. These satellites will be available for only a few pennies. 888poker LIVE Glasgow 2026 Full Schedule

The 888poker LIVE Glasgow festival starts at 12:00 p.m. GMT on March 12 before wrapping up on March 22. A £250 buy-in, £50,000 guaranteed Crazy 8 Opening Event kicks off the festival. Majid Iqbal is this event’s reigning champion, having left 226 opponents in his wake as he turned £250 into £10,130 in March 2025.

Tournaments after the Crazy 8 Opening Event include the £220 Mid Shot, £100,000 guaranteed £250 buy-in Mini Main, a £250 Pot Limit Omaha event, and the £1,500 High Roller.

The £888 buy-in, £250,000 guaranteed Main Event explodes into action at 1:00 p.m. GMT on March 19. This is the first of four flights, with Day 1b scheduled for 12:00 p.m. GMT on March 20 and a turbo-structured Day 1c shuffling up and dealing at 8:00 p.m. GMT on the same day. A last chance turbo Day 1d commences at 11:00 a.m. on March 21, with the second of three days beginning at 5:00 p.m. that day. The Glasgow Main Event will crown its worthy champion on March 22.

At least 70 Main Event seats are guaranteed in the £120 buy-in satellites running throughout 888poker LIVE Glasgow. Twenty of those will be won on March 19 in the 6:00 p.m. GMT cashout satellite.

The 2025 edition of the 888poker LIVE Glasgow festival was a roaring success, with all but two events blowing their respective guarantees out of the water. In the Main Event, 888poker LIVE paid out £309,320, a sizable chunk more than the advertised guarantee.

Dean Lyall was triumphant in last year’s Glasgow Main Event. He took home £58,130 for his efforts after defeating fellow Scotsman Daniel Johnson (£42,940) heads-up. Expect Lyall to be in Glasgow to attempt a title defense.
