HIPTHER has concluded its inaugural expanded HIPTHER Baltics 2026 conference series, bringing together 430 participants across events in Vilnius, Riga, and Tallinn.
The series built on the former MARE BALTICUM Gaming & TECH Summit and introduced a country-focused format addressing regulation, compliance, fintech, gaming, and digital innovation across the Baltic and Nordic regions. Attendees included regulators, operators, fintech leaders, legal experts, investors, and compliance professionals.
The 2026 series featured three themed events: HIPTHER Baltics: Vilnius – iGaming Regulation & Fintech Integration, HIPTHER Baltics: Riga – Cross-Border Compliance & Player Protection, and HIPTHER Baltics & Nordics: Tallinn – Digital Governance & Startup Innovation.
The series opened on 21 April in Vilnius, focusing on Lithuania’s evolving regulatory framework and the growing intersection between fintech, payments, blockchain, and iGaming. Among the discussions covered were MiCA implementation, AML compliance, digital assets, banking transformation, tokenisation, AI adoption in financial services, next-generation payments, and the expanding role of compliance in sustainable growth.
On 11 May in Riga, the conference gathered experts from gaming, fintech, legal, and compliance sectors to examine real-world operational challenges in highly regulated markets. Key topics included responsible gaming, player protection, AML enforcement, fraud prevention, AI-driven supervision and taxation, payment innovation, cross-border licensing, data protection, affiliate marketing, and the shift from traditional SEO to AI-powered discoverability. The Riga edition emphasized balancing innovation with regulatory accountability.
The series concluded on 2 June in Tallinn, a city widely recognized for its advanced digital infrastructure and governance model. Sessions explored eIDAS 2.0, digital identity, trusted onboarding systems, fintech innovation, startup ecosystems, and the future of digital societies.
Additional discussions focused on sustainable player acquisition, AI-powered growth strategies, and cross-border partnerships. The event also hosted the HIPTHER Baltic & Nordics Gaming Awards 2026, recognizing excellence across operators, suppliers, and technology providers in the region.
Across all three cities, attendees participated in curated networking sessions and educational programming through HIPTHER Academy, the organization’s training and professional development platform focused on practical skills and industry certifications.
Organizers said the format reinforced the Baltics’ growing reputation as a regional hub for innovation, regulation, and cross-border collaboration.
