– The ace can be worth 1 or 11 points;

A player “stands” when he is satisfied with his score and does not intend to ask for more cards outside of the first two. “Call”, however, when he wants to improve the score.
♥ ️ Doubling is generally worth when the sum of the first two cards is between 9 and 11 points (but it depends on the variant of blackjack): in this case, the equivalent of the initial bet is wagered and only one additional card is received. The “split” occurs if the first two cards have the same value: in practice, the hand is split in two, placing a second bet identical to the first and playing as if they were two separate and separate hands.
♣ ️ In blackjack, all bets pay the same amount: if I bet 10 euros and win, the dealer will give me another 10 euros. This applies to all wins except blackjack, i.e. the 21 points reached with the first two cards: in this case, the payout is 1.5 to 1, i.e. that is to say that by betting 10 euros, you win 15 more.
What are the best blackjack strategies?
1 – Give the dealer a chance to bust.
If you notice that the dealer is showing a card with a value of 4, 5 or 6, you must play very carefully. In practice, these cards mean that the dealer has a bad hand. Indeed, if the dealer has a soft hand, he will probably decide to call rather than stay and bring his hand closer to 21. Therefore, this will prove to be very advantageous for you. You should definitely take the opportunity to double down or split as much as possible in order to invest more money in the pot in case the dealer goes over 21.
2 – Don’t let go of your hard hands.
If you roll a hard 17, you shouldn’t ask for another card. Indeed, although your chances of winning are very low, it is not worth the risk of burning in this particular case.
3 – Always split aces and eights – but never split royal cards.
As a general rule, you should always separate the aces and the eights if you come across a combination of these cards. This is mainly because if you do decide to go their separate ways, you will have two chances to win the pot! Basically, if you decide to stick with two aces you could end up with a score of 16, certainly not ideal for winning the hand. Note that our experts also recommend never split royal cards (value of 10).
4 – Do not take insurance against blackjack.
Some variations of online blackjack offer the player the option of purchasing insurance, but not all. If the dealer’s face-up card is an ace, you can insure against the possibility of blackjack. This means that if the dealer had blackjack, you would get your stake back. However, statistics show that it is not worth buying insurance.
