Solana Foundation is taking its collaboration with the World Series of Poker from the cash desk to the felt next week, with a special invitation-only tournament that will be played on the same stage as the 2026 WSOP Main Event.

The World Series of Poker Solana (WSOPS) will take place at Paris Las Vegas on August 4, with a select field of popular crypto creators and representatives competing in a bespoke two-day event hosted by 2006 WSOP Main Event champion Jamie Gold.

Among those taking part are several well-known names from the crypto space, including MinhxDynasty, Ansem, Ashley D. Can, Ryan Solomon, Wendy O, Banks, Bangerz, Rasmr and Gabriel Haines.

Before cards are in the air, each participant will receive a crash course in tournament poker from Gold, covering strategy, table reads and poker psychology from the man who so famously won the WSOP Main Event 20 years ago.

Anyone who followed this summer’s World Series of Poker will have noticed Solana’s growing presence throughout the series.

As the WSOP’s lead sponsor, Solana branding featured prominently across the tournament floor and on the Main Event stage, while the partnership introduced cryptocurrency buy-ins through the WSOP Live app, giving players a faster and more secure way to register for tournaments.

Gold, who serves as an official Solana ambassador, believes the partnership represents a significant step forward for the game.

“I’m incredibly proud to be an ambassador for Solana and their partnership with the WSOP,” Gold told the official WSOP website. “This partnership will change lives and affect so many people in a positive way. Never having to carry large amounts of cash again? Amazing.”

Gold added that the collaboration reflects how poker is evolving alongside digital payments.

“The WSOP-Solana partnership has so much utility. It reflects the changing poker economy and what today’s players want and need. Every year, more poker players adopt cryptocurrency, whether it’s for funding their accounts or making withdrawals through the WSOP Live app.”
