Juan Pardo Takes Down PokerStars $1,050 SCOOP Warm-Up Main Event

The $10 million guaranteed SCOOP Warm-Up festival drew to a thrilling conclusion on February 16 with the crowning of the Main Event champions. It was a familiar name that topped the $1,050 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event payout table, that of Juan “Malaka$tyle” Pardo.

The $1,050 Main Event saw 368 entrants create a $368,000 prize pool, with a first-place prize of $57,427. That princely sum is now nestled in Pardo’s PokerStars account. No doubt, the talented Spaniard will put that prize money to good use during the upcoming 2026 Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP).

By the time the $1,050 SCOOP Warm-Up Main Event was down to its nine-handed final table, each of the surviving players was guaranteed at least $5,193 for their efforts. Austria’s “wanderer_pro” collected that prize when they busted in ninth-place.

Jonathan “Proudflop” Proudfoot and “kirdface” were the next to fall, collecting prizes of $6,007 and $8,293, respectively. “Sxmon” banked the first five-figure prize of the tournament when they received the $11,450 sixth-place prize. “Sxmon” won the $5,200 Titans event earlier in the series for $67,641.

Next to fall was “9I_TPENIRUIUS,” who collected $15,808, before “Ansel21” of Ukraine and Brazilian Marcelo “marceloaziz” Aziz bowed out. They reeled in $21,824 and $30,129 before sending the $1,050 Main Event into the heads-up stage.

Heads-up pitted Pardo against Canada’s “13santoy13,” and it was the former who emerged victoriously, turning his $1,050 into $57,427, and resigning his Canadian opponent to a still respectable $41,596 consolation prize.

Six-Figure Score for $109 SCOOP Warm-Up Main Event Champion

A SCOOP Warm-Up edition of the ever-popular Sunday Million served as the low buy-in Main Event. A field of 10,426 created a guarantee-busting $1,042,600 prize pool, which included a huge $138,761 top prize.

All but one of the nine finalists took home at least a five-figure prize, with “Serebity_p” of Romania walking away with $9,250 for their ninth-place finish.

Dmitry “yurasov1990” Yurasov was the most experienced player at the final table, but his latest deep run ended in an eighth-place finish worth $12,976. Yurasov’s elimination likely resulted in a few sighs of relief from the players still in the hunt for the title.

“Okke777,” “dewadwda,” and Joao “HayashiJoao” Hayashi crashed by the wayside one by one, the latter seeing their $109 initial investment swell to $35,826. Hayashi’s fellow Brazilians, “F1oba” busted in fourth for $50,258, with “VelascoNoBad” falling in third for $70,505.

Romania’s “Speedy1986” locked horns with “obarra7” for the title and the lion’s share of the prize pool. The heads-up duo didn’t strike a deal despite the $39,853 difference in prize money, or 365 buy-ins. That lack of a deal meant “obarra7” had to make do with a $98,908 runner-up prize, while “Speedy1986” padded theirbankroll with an impressive $138,761.
