Juan Pardo Wins Five Online High Rollers Before WSOP Paradise

Jesse Lonis may have set the pace in 2025, but Juan Pardo looks determined to make the final month of the year his own.

Pardo went full “MalakaStyle” and put the poker world on notice ahead of December’s bumper-to-bumper live-poker offering. The Spanish star lit up GGMillion$ Week, winning five online high rollers on GGPoker and timing his surge in form to perfection as the year’s biggest month of live action approaches.

The week-long heater included four victories in $10K events and another in a $5K, good for more than $530,000 in winnings and plenty of ammunition for WSOP Paradise, where Pardo looks more than ready to roll.

The Heater Begins

Pardo kicked off his run by beating several opponents he’ll soon be battling again in The Bahamas, as he looks to claim his first WSOP bracelet. The $10,300 Super Monday Super High Roller [7-Max] paid just four spots from its 23 entries, with Aleksejs Ponakovs, Joao Vieira and Adrian Mateos the only others to see a return on their five-figure buy-in.

Pardo and compatriot Mateos found themselves side by side once more, not long removed from their deep runs in the EPT Malta Main Event. Mateos finished 11th in the penultimate EPT Main Event of the year, while Pardo made his first EPT Main Event final table, going out in eighth.

Pardo, who has more than $15 million in live earnings, got the better of Spain’s All-Time Money List leader, knocking out Mateos in fourth before Ponakovs dispatched Joao Vieira in third.

Pardo then closed it out against Ponakovs to seal his first victory of the week and the $115,155 top prize. Who says you need to hate Mondays?

Pardo’s Bounty Bonanza

While Pardo only KO’d Mateos and Ponakovs in his opening win, he quickly found his ruthless streak in a pair of bounty events.

He blasted through the $10,300 Thursday Throwdown, sending six of the 24 entrants to the rail for $72,500 in bounties alone. A heads-up win over “GREAGYPoker” pushed his total haul to $125,591. A few sessions later, Pardo completed his hat-trick in a stacked 84-entry field in the $5,250 Bounty Hunters Super High Roller.

Once again, he cleaned up. His nine eliminations produced $70,313 in bounties, and the $40,119 first-place payout took his total to $110,432, his third six-figure score of the week.

Kulev Denied Twice

Another sizeable field turned out for the $10,300 Super Monday Super High Roller, which surpassed its $400,000 guarantee by $70,000, and those who fired must have been sick of the sight of Pardo, none more so than Alex Kulev.

The Bulgarian took the larger slice of a heads-up deal, but it was Pardo who claimed the title after securing every chip in play. Less than 24 hours later, the exact same scenario unfolded in $10,300 Tuesday Classic Super High Roller, where another deal saw Kulev earn the most cash, but Pardo again walked away with the win.

Pardo’s cash-rush leaves him in sharp form heading into WSOP Paradise. Five wins against elite fields in the span of a week is as solid a tune-up as any player could ask for.
