Sunday is going to be a big day for tournament poker on the new PokerStars on FanDuel poker site in the United States.
And not just this upcoming Sunday. We’re talking weekly for players in Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The action to end the weekend each week features two big events at two separate buy-in levels and at least $250,000 in prize pool money to be awarded.
What’s in Store for Sundays at PokerStars on FanDuel?
PokerStars North America partnered with sports betting giant FanDuel a few weeks ago to launch the multi-state PokerStars on FanDuel. Early reports from poker players in the three aforementioned states have been positive.
The site kicked off a $5 million guaranteed Ignite Series on Saturday to a massive turnout. The series, which runs until May 4, featured the first slate of many big Sunday events on the site.
Players, each Sunday through May and beyond, can enter the $30 Sunday Shield at 6:30 p.m. ET for a share of at least $50,000 and the $100 Sunday Dynasty at 6 p.m., which promises at least $200,000 in the pot. Both tournaments are of the no-limit hold’em variety.
The tournaments give poker players in the shared liquidity states some events to add to their weekly schedules, tournaments they can count on for large guaranteed prize pools to close out the week. They’re especially beneficial to those who are looking to erase a losing week with a big score.
PokerStars on FanDuel is the hot new poker site in the U.S., and has a shared player pool between MI, NJ, and PA. The action is heating up in the Ignite Series, but the poker site is also home to some of the juiciest cash game action around.
