For the first time in four months, the seven US online casino states failed to collect at least $1 billion in revenue in June.
Last month, legal online casinos tallied $996.5 million in revenue. This was the second-lowest total for 2026, only besting February’s $946.2 million. Every other month in 2026 has produced at least $1 billion in revenue.
Despite the small setback, year-over-year growth for online casinos was still significant. June’s total was 19.7% greater than June 2025’s $832.8 million in revenue.
June’s US Online Casino Revenue Breakdown
All seven legal iGaming states saw at least a 14% increase in revenue year-over-year for June.
Here’s a look at how each of the seven states performed in June compared to a year ago. It should be noted that some states individually report their adjusted gross revenue (AGR), which removes promotional spend from their wins. This table reflects the gross gaming revenue, which is the amount produced prior to promo spend being removed.
Three Takeaways from June’s iGaming Revenue
June provided some interesting data when it comes to online casino revenue. Here’s three of the most noteworthy pieces of information.
June Ends Growth Drought
Despite being under $1 billion in total revenue, June was still a positive month in regard to year-over-year growth.
Both April and May only saw about $132 million in additional revenue compared to a year prior, which was as low a difference as the seven iGaming states had seen in a while.
For June, US online casinos brought in an additional $163.7 million compared to last June. That’s the highest year-over-year total in four months.
With June typically being a down month for iGaming in the US, nearly hitting $1 billion was a positive sign.
Michigan Closes in on Pennsylvania
The gap between Michigan and Pennsylvania is as close as ever, with Michigan only finishing $1.9 million behind Pennsylvania when it comes to revenue last month.
Pennsylvania online casinos have long established themselves as the US leader for iGaming revenue, but the tide has been starting to turn over the last year.
Michigan online casinos have been within $9 million of Pennsylvania three times since December, but June was a big change and put Michigan within striking distance.
Michigan has seen greater growth than PA as of late thanks to the addition of Hard Rock Casino and bet365 Casino in its market.
Both the Hard Rock Casino bonus code and bet365 Casino bonus code in Michigan have helped both operators accumulate around $30 million in monthly revenue combined.
US Still on Pace for Over $12 Billion in 2026 Revenue
Though June didn’t reach $1 billion for US iGaming revenue, the seven online casino states are still pushing past an average of $1 billion per month in 2026.

- March: $1.06 billion
- April: $1.00 billion
- May: $1.03 billion
- June: $996.5 million
The United States sits at $6.03 billion in iGaming revenue for the year after six months. Given that the biggest online casino revenue months typically come later in the year, crossing $12 billion for the year shouldn’t be too difficult a task.
The question is really how far past $12 billion can these states get?
