The last of the opening round series’ gets underway Sunday night, when the Utah Mammoth make their postseason debut in Vegas against the Golden Knights for Game 1 of their best-of-7 series.

UTAH vs VGK Pick #1: Eichel Anytime Goal

Jack Eichel led Vegas in scoring this season with 90 points, including 27 goals, the ninth time in his career he’s hit the 20-goal plateau, and the fourth straight year he’s done it with the Golden Knights.

He ended the regular season on a high note, with points in six of his final seven games, including two goals, and the 29-year-old had a 2-goal game agains the Mammoth this season.

Eichel’s no stranger to postseason scoring, with 10 career playoff goals.

Mammoth vs Golden Knights Pick #2: Logan Cooley Anytime Goal

Logan Cooley finished the year with 24 goals, and he picked up four in his final eight games of the regular season.

But the reason he’s in my betting crosshairs is the fact he lit the Golden Knights up for four goals in their November 24 matchup, all part of a 5-1 win.

Aside from that outburst, Cooley’s been consistently a pain for Vegas to deal with, tallying seven goals in six career games against the Golden Knights since coming over from the Coyotes.

There’s probably not a more comfortable opponent for Cooley to go up agianst in his postseason debut.
