The Performance of the Day award at the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) goes to Martin Zamani.
No, he didn’t dominate a final table to win a bracelet or silence Martin Kabrhel. He did something that is arguably even more impressive, and that is to approach the bubble in two separate high-stakes events at the same time, and potentially cash in both tournaments.
Zamani on the Run
Zamani has been shifting back and forth between Event #42: $10,000 Big O Championship and Event #44: $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold’em. Two $10,000 buy-in live tournaments. And he isn’t just playing those events. He’s relatively deep in both, one that is already in the money and the other within a few eliminations from the bubble.
The longtime grinder and brother of fellow two-time bracelet winner Ben Zamani, at the time of publishing, had 130,000 chips with 75 players remaining in Big O, one of the bottom 15 stacks. This event, which started with 456 runners, pays 69 players.
Zamani is in much better shape in the Super Turbo Bounty, being that he was the chip leader with 51 of the original 466 players remaining, about an hour after the bubble burst.
So, if you’re scoring at home, that’s one cash locked up and a second within reach. Zamani could win up to $861,287 in Big O and $594,246 in Super Turbo Bounty, the tournament he’s focused solely on while Big O has been at dinner break.
Zamani, who won two bracelets in 2021 (one online), has over $7.6 million in live tournament cashes recorded by The Hendon Mob database. He could win his third bracelet on Sunday in the one-day Super Turbo Bounty. Big O will play down to a winner on Monday.
