Pathway to Goliath

The 2026 edition of the Goliath is only five weeks away, with the first of nine flights scheduled to shuffle up and deal on July 25. Everything points to the 2026 Goliath’s attendance continuing its upward trajectory, and the £2 million estimated prize pool could soon become a reality despite the tournament only costing £200 to enter.

Grosvenor Poker‘s Pathway to Goliath is clear, with a series of satellites that pave the way to the largest live poker tournament outside of Las Vegas. Between June 18 and July 29, the Pathway to Goliath satellites guarantee an incredible 1,056 seats (at Grosvenor Poker alone). To put that massive number into context, it is more than half the total number of entrants in the inaugural Goliath (1,765) back in 2011.

The Pathway to Goliath primarily revolves around £5 and £30 buy-in satellites hosted online at Grosvenor Poker. These £5 and £30 satellites guarantee between five and a whopping 100x £200 tickets that can be used to become part of the magical event that is the Goliath.

£1 step satellites are also available, as are regular all-in or fold freerolls for those wanting to try and win their way into the 2026 Goliath without investing anything but their time.

You can find the £5 and £30 satellites in the Grosvenor Poker tournament lobby right now. They all have a similar nomenclature, reading Goliath/NPL £200 Tkt plus the number of guaranteed seats that satellite will pay out.

£5 Goliath Satellites at Grosvenor Poker

There are only eight more £5 Goliath satellites currently scheduled, so you need to act now if you want to turn a fiver into a shot at a prize pool that’s estimated to reach £2 million.

£30 Goliath Satellites at Grosvenor Poker

Those buying into or winning their way into the £30 buy-in satellites have a little more time to try and secure their Goliath seat. These satellites guarantee at least eight Goliath tickets, with most boasting a 30x seat guarantee.

The £30 satellites on June 28, July 5, and July 12 will dish out no fewer than 50x £200 Goliath tickets, while the mega satellite on July 19 has 100 seats in its prize pool, that’s £20,000 worth of Goliath tickets in that one satellite.

Win 20% More Prize Money By Qualifying or Buying in Online at GGPoker

Grosvenor Poker and online poker giant GGPoker recently announced a special partnership that is potentially very lucrative for players. Not only can players now win their way to the 2026 Goliath at GGPoker, but they will receive an additional 20% on their Goliath Main Event cashes if they win their seat at GGPoker or use their GGPoker account to buy into the live event!

GGPoker’s Goliath satellites award a guaranteed 30 seats at the £30 buy-in level, although £1 and £5 step satellites are available. The £30 satellites shuffle up and deal at 7:00 p.m. BST every Sunday.

Had Paul Worsley won his seat at GGPoker or bought in via the GGPoker client, he would have taken home an additional £60,000 on top of the £316,640 he collected after becoming the 2025 Goliath champion!

Register Early to Avoid Being an Alternate

It is advised to win your seat sooner rather than later to avoid finding yourself on the alternates list or queueing, as caps are placed on each of the live Day 1’s to manage player numbers. Both Grosvenor Poker and GGPoker are offering holding tanks on their respective platforms for the Main Event, but if you aren’t an online player, the Grosvenor Poker Live App is the easiest place to secure your seat.

To buy in via the app, simply select Coventry from the venue menu, navigate to tournaments, choose your preferred flight or event, and complete your buy-in by card. Live event credit vouchers can also be used if you have them.

It is also possible to buy in at the Grosvenor G Casino in Coventry, the host venue.

In the not-too-distant future, someone is going to be the last player standing in the 2026 Goliath. They will write their name in poker’s history books, boost their bankroll with a massive prize, and thanks to the Pathway to Goliath, perhaps do all that for less than the price of a takeaway coffee.
