The midway point is fast approaching in the 2026 World Series of Poker.
45 of the 100 total live gold bracelet events have already played down to a winner inside the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. Over $155 million in prize money has already been awarded, with more than 95,000 entries made in the completed tournaments.
Below, we take a closer look at two of the latest events to wrap up from the 57th annual WSOP.
2026 WSOP Event No. 43 – $800 No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack Eight-Max

A total of 3,903 entries were made in the $800 no-limit hold’em Deepstack eight-max event, making for a $2,732,100 prize pool in the lower-stakes affair.
The UK’s Matthew Moss was the last player standing after two days of briskly-paced play. He secured $318,556 and his first gold bracelet as the champion. This was the second-largest score of his career, trailing only the $520,000 that came with a sixth-place finish in a $100,000 buy-in at the 2025 Onyx Super High Roller Series.
Moss is no stranger to big scores at the WSOP, either. In 2016, he placed 21st from a field of 6,737 entries in the main event, earning $269,430 for that deep run. He now has more than $1.7 million in recorded scores after this latest triumph in Las Vegas.
While Moss is plenty experienced on the tournament streets, this was his first outright win on the live circuit.
“It’s exciting to win my first tournament, especially one with 3,900 people,” Moss told PokerNews live reporters. “That’s the thing about Vegas. There are just so many people.”
The top 587 finishers made the money in this event. Notables who ran deep included Stanley Lee (59th), Cristian Gutierrez (50th), Allen Chang (29th), Pengfei Wang (9th), and Darryl Ronconi (2nd). This was the third time that Ronconi has finished as the runner-up in a bracelet event, including second-place showings in the 2011 ‘triple chance’ event and the 2021 Millionaire Maker. Both of those scores came with over half a million dollars in prize money.

2026 WSOP Event No. 45 – $2,500 Mixed Omaha Eight-Or-Better / Stud Eight-Or-Better

Eddie Blumenthal has come painfully close to seizing his first WSOP bracelet on several occasions. He’s made ten final tables at the series, with five top-four finishes, including a third-place showing in the 2021 $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. championship and a runner-up finish in the $1,500 no-limit hold’em six-max.
Finally, the Wisconsin native broke through in the $2,500 Omaha eight-or-better / stud eight-or-better mixed event at this year’s series. Blumenthal emerged victorious from a field of 587 entries to secure the bracelet and the top prize of $248,545. His lifetime tournament earnings now exceed $2.7 million.
“It feels nice to finally have a whole final come together and be able to close it out,” Blumenthal told PokerNews.
He also walked away with 1,260 Card Player Player of the Year points. This was his second POY-qualified score of the year. Back in January, he finished sixth in the World Poker Tour Lucky Hearts Poker Open main event for $127,000 and 480 points. Blumenthal now sits in 121st place in the overall rankings presented by CoinPoker.
Plenty of big names ran deep in this event, including bracelet winners Yueqi Zhu (20th), Cyndy Violette (13th), Andrew Yeh (11th), Justin Liberto (9th), and Nikolai Fal (2nd).
