Nebraska’s Lake Mac Casino Resort & Racetrack has officially introduced live table games to its gaming floor. The new offerings were launched on Tuesday afternoon with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking a significant expansion ahead of the casino’s annual quarter horse racing weekend.

Live table games will be available Thursday through Sunday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. beginning Thursday, July 2, adding Blackjack and Ultimate Texas Hold’em to the casino’s gaming floor.

The casino, located just off Interstate 80 in Ogallala, Nebraska, already features more than 300 slot machines, electronic table games, a sportsbook, simulcast wagering, live entertainment and quarter horse racing. The new tables add dealer-operated games to its existing electronic table game offerings.

The launch comes ahead of Lake Mac Casino’s 2026 American Quarter Horse race weekend, scheduled for Friday, July 10, and Saturday, July 11. The weekend will include eight total races, with four races set for each day beginning at 3 p.m. Mountain Time.

The casino introduced the new live table games on Tuesday during a special ceremony attended by community leaders, casino officials and representatives from local business and tourism organizations.

Remarks were delivered by General Manager Thomas Frank, Keith County Area Development Executive Director Mary Wilson and Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission Commissioner Janell Beveridge of Paxton.

After the remarks, officials cut the ceremonial ribbon and guests viewed the new gaming area in operation. Dealers demonstrated the tables, and attendees were among the first guests to experience the expanded gaming floor.

“Today was a great day for Lake Mac Casino and Ogallala,” said Thomas Frank, General Manager of Lake Mac Casino Resort & Racetrack. “The new live table games have been highly anticipated and bring additional options to our customers and additional jobs at the casino.”

Career opportunities are available at the casino as gaming operations continue to expand.
