Nick Schulman could become the next talk radio superstar.
The Poker Hall of Famer shared on X that he will host a poker show on SiriusXM satellite radio for six weeks. Schulman’s show, “Poker Weekly with Nick Schulman,” will air on Mad Dog Sports Radio (Channel 82) starting on Saturday, July 18. Each weekly episode will start at 8 p.m. ET.
Schulman will have to prove his chops as he will start on a trial basis. If the bosses love what he’s doing, it could turn into a long-term SiriusXM program.
Experience Behind a Mic
Schulman has extensive experience talking poker in front of an audience. He’s served as a commentator along with Ali Nejad for years on various PokerGO livestreams and shows, and in recent years, a co-commentator with AJ Benza on High Stakes Poker. The poker legend was the lead announcer for World Series of Poker (WSOP) livestreams this summer.
According to a press release, Schulman will give poker tips, talk stories about his poker career, and discuss poker events happening around the world. He said “having a platform like this helps legitimize poker being a game of skill.”
Mad Dog Sports Radio is one of the top sports talk channels on SiriusXM, headlined by polarizing legendary broadcaster Chris “Mad Dog” Russo. But this will be the channel’s first poker show.
Schulman recently wrapped another banner World Series of Poker. He won his eighth bracelet and finished runner-up in two other events. The 2025 Poker Hall of Fame inductee finished the series 12th in the WSOP Player of the Year race, but is still within striking distance of the leader, Shaun Deeb, heading to the WSOP Paradise series in December.
