Tired of paying Las Vegas resort fees of up to $55 a day? Fees for things that you probably aren’t using anyways? Well, This Week in Gambling, we’re looking at over 10 Sin City properties, from The Strip to downtown, that will help you keep more of your money in your pockets! And up first, it’s Marriott’s Grand Chateau, near Planet Hollywood and the Miracle Mile Shops. Their villas come with kitchens, dining rooms, free Wi-Fi, and pool access.
Next, it’s the Jockey Club between, Bellagio and Cosmopolitan. They offer a large, quiet hotel for budget travelers and suites that come with kitchens and free internet. Then there’s Carriage House, between MGM Grand and Planet Hollywood. This property is close to the major resorts with free Wi-Fi, a heated pool, and no resort fees. And with that, we can move on to five gaming properties currently running no resort fee promotions.
That list includes some bigger names like Treasure Island, where resort fees are now optional. Yes, Treasure Island’s “TV As Special” allows their loyalty members to opt out of resort fees, so you have to join their rewards program and book your stay on their website. Just look under the deals and offers tab. Meanwhile, Sahara Las Vegas is currently running their “All In Rate Experience” promotion, wrapping their resort fees into the room price, which for practical purposes eliminates those fees altogether. Then we have the “All In Package” at The STRAT, which includes a $20 match play game credit, admission to the tower, and no resort fees. All for one set rate, saving you over $50 a day.
Also, Resorts World has ended their “All Resort. No Fees” promotion. But guess what? They still have select dates available without those fees. You just have to search for them and book your stay on their website. Plus, the Plaza down on Fremont Street has an all-inclusive room package that offer comes with breakfast and dinner, bottomless drinks, and no resort fees on stays between June 1st and August 31st.
Finally, this week, we arrive at our top three choices for avoiding Las Vegas resort fees. Not because these are some five-star resorts, but because players absolutely love them, because these resorts are not running special promotions. They’ve never had resort fees and have no plans to start. First up, it’s the legendary Binion’s Gambling Hall… a downtown Las Vegas landmark and the original home of the World Series of Poker. Binion’s is famous for its vintage atmosphere, iconic million dollar photo display, and zero resort fees.
Next is the budget friendly Casino Royale with a classic Vegas feel, low minimum tables, and cheap beer. Plus, it’s the only hotel directly on the strip that has never had resort fees and hopefully never will, even after special offers at other resorts expire. Finally, it’s the Four Queens, a Vegas staple since 1966 with traditional slot machines, on-site micro brews, a warm vintage atmosphere, and none of those damn fees. All with a prime location directly in the heart of Fremont Street.
So, while they may not be the fanciest Vegas hotels, they are the ones willing to help you save hundreds of dollars, which means more money for dinner, gaming, and shows.
