The 888poker XL Spring Series has reached its halfway point, and the events continue coming thick and fast. “OneShotAway” helped themselves to the largest score of the recently completed events after taking down the $320 DeepStack High Roller.

While “OneShotAway” will be delighted with scooping $5,077 and an XL Spring Series title, 888poker may be less joyous because both the $25 buy-in, $50,000 guaranteed Mini Main and the $250 buy-in, $500,000 guaranteed RAKELESS Mystery Main Event look set to overlay significantly.

“OneShotAway” became an XL Spring Series champion after coming out on top of a 62-strong crowd in the $320 DeepStack High Roller. 888poker isn’t best known for its high-stakes tournaments, but a 62-player field for a $320 buy-in tournament is a good turnout.

At the time of writing, 1,088 entries have been processed. That’s an average of 60 per flight. The 888poker lobby shows only five upcoming Day 1s; more must surely be added over the weekend.

Only 892 have bought in so far, averaging 59 per flight across 15 flights. According to the 888poker tournament lobby, only three flights remain, so expect more to be added over the weekend.
